Overview

More
Opened in 1871, the Royal Albert Hall is the world’s most famous stage. It is also one of London’s most iconic and visited tourist attractions. Over the years, it has been the scene of over 150,000 performances; from Wagner to Sinatra, The Beatles to Beyonce, Muhammad Ali to Adele, and is home to the celebrated BBC Proms. Whilst the venue is most famous for its shows by night, by day this treasured building is open for coffee, lunch, afternoon tea and guided tours of the building. Tip for tour ticket holders: Enjoy a 10% discount on items in the Hall’s gift shop and Cafe Bar.

Beautiful venue, easily accessible but a little walk back to find an open tube station by the time most evening events finish here.

This was a fabulous experience with a superb tour guide and the best afternoon tea we have ever had. Our waitress, Kingo, was absolutely first class and we thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon experience.

Went to the Royal Albert Hall to see Russell Howard on his 'Around the world' tour. He was fantastic and hilarious. The venue was beautiful inside, really great view even though it was advertised as 'restricted'.

Saw cirque show AMA Luna there. The hall is lovely. Seats were great as was the show. We also had dinner at the restaurant at Royal Albert Hall on Friday night. They have musicians playing on Friday nights while you eat. It was lovely.

With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque
white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's
easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with
superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and
Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely
child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to
mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall)
such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming

The auditorium is vast, so not greatly affected by huge numbers of hot bodies. Leave coats in the cloakroom - you won't need them to keep warm.
