The Vikings, Whittington and Wine walk with Ildiko was excellent- very interesting and informative. Highly recommended, as are other Six and the City tours I’ve done.

I have to say I have just come off a tour with Eamonn from six in the city. Was an amazing journey into the history of Wren and also the rebuilding of this amazing capitol city after the fire of london and restoration of the crown. This tour showed Eamonn had a unique insight and knowledge of his passion. Thank you for one of the best (if not best) tour I’ve ever been on.

I highly recommend the Slavery in the City tour. Freda was my guide and she was amazing! I am well-versed in the topic of the Transatlantic Slave Trade and the horrors experienced by enslaved Africans. Yet, I still learned more from this tour. I am American and this tour augmented my knowledge. Specifically, the sites of important conversations happening at that time in England. The walk also provided a layout of that part of the city and I chose to go back the next day to explore on my own. Freda was outstanding. She is intelligent, knowledgeable (able to provide context), patient, and kind. I happened to miss my scheduled time for the tour because I got a bit lost finding the meet-up point. Via e-mail, Freda shared the location of the group with me as they were walking but I couldn't figure it out and gave up. She then kindly offered to meet me on another day to take me on the tour solo. That's great customer service! Even if you think you know everything about the Transatlantic Slave Trade, I encourage you to take this tour - you will learn more. Thank you for providing this tour Six in the City and thank you for Freda.

I can highly recommend this tour. I have lived in London for over 30 years and there was so much I hadn't seen before. The talk is very well thought through and researched without sounding academic. Caroline, our tour guide, was amazing and she knows her stuff. A thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding afternoon.

Our tour guide, Caroline, was outstanding. Extremely knowledgeable and a very good story teller (great sense of humour too). We were shown so many interesting places in the City and she weaved them all into the horrifying history of the slave trade. Some of the places I was vaguely familiar with before but now see in a new light, and others were entirely new to me and a real revelation. I loved it and would highly recommend.

We had a fantastic time with Caroline, who led us on a tour through London after we had colleagues visiting for a conference. Despite us being late to arrive, Caroline managed to adjust our tour so we saw all the sights we wanted to see (and many many more Caroline identified) and arrived for our dinner right on time. Thank-you Caroline, a fantastic insightful sour which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
