Historic York Pub Crawl; We had a fantastic time! This tour is a great way to get to know people, whilst learning about the history of York’s oldest pubs. It’s a fun way to spend half a day in York and is ideal for people from York, as well as visitors from further away. Mike was a great host – very pleasant, a good sense of humour and highly knowledgeable! I encourage you to give it a go. You won’t be disappointed.

I attended the first of these tours in Stratford-upon-Avon. I have lived in Warwickshire all of my life so am familiar with a lot of the history, but I'd recommend the tour to both locals and tourists alike. The tour guide had a wealth of knowledge on Stratford-upon-Avon generally, but also on the history of its pubs in particular. I learned a lot about the town's various benefactors over the years and my attention was drawn to certain items of architectural interest I'd previously not noticed. A pub crawl tour is a entertaining way to learn about a town's history and I'll definitely be suggesting it to any visitors I have. 10/10

I can thoroughly recommend doing a Great British Pub Crawl if you are visiting York. You’ll learn so much about the city (not just the pubs, though the two are so intertwined through history) and you’ll enjoy some great conversations in some fascinating and atmospheric pubs. Brilliant!
I was struck with how enjoyable the social element was. It’s lovely to chat informally with locals in an easy atmosphere.

We did the York pub crawl with Charlie as our guide. He's a really likeable and well-informed young man and he made us feel at ease from the very start. We expected the pub crawl to show us a range interesting pubs and to reveal some of York's history, and it did not disappoint. But we were pleasantly surprised by what a nice social occasion it turned out to be. Rather than the passive experience of more typical tours, the pub crawl was more conversational and before long the whole group was chatting away like old friends. It also served as a great introduction to the city. We'll certainly do more of these in other towns and cities.

We took the Oxford pub crawl, visited many old pubs . Very interesting guide, very knowledgeable on all the history of the pubs visited. Would definitely recommend if you are visiting Oxford.
