Having done a variety of self-guided and guided London pub tours, I can safely say that our Liquid History tour was one of the best we have experienced. The itinerary included visits to four very different pubs. The Cockpit was homey and welcoming; the Blackfriar is an art nouveau gem; the Punch is a classic old gin palace (with a modern selection of gins); and the Olde Cheshire Cheese is quirky, ancient, and full of history. The pubs were our stopping points, but the tour was focused on the history of the City of London from its Roman past to the current day. Making all of this a great experience was our guide extraordinaire Kevin. Kevin was a wealth of knowledge about the history of the City, beer, and pubs and gin palaces. He imparted that knowledge with wit and fine story-telling skills and made everyone on the tour feel welcome and part of the experience. Three hours may seem a stretch, but it really gave our group the opportunity to settle in at each of the pubs we visited and get a feeling for each pub’s uniqueness. Thanks for a great time, Kevin. Do a Liquid History tour, you won’t regret it
