Free entry, and loads to see despite a lot of refurbishment still taking place. Huge range of planes to see and admire. Enjoyed by all.

I love this place, but be warned that only about 25% is open at the moment. We arrived and were disappointed to see how little was open. It literally took 30 mins to go round... Completely get the need to update and maintain artefacts but...More

I'm a serious aviation history buff, so I got there early and made not one, but three, leisurely photographic passes through the Colindale building. The collection is superb. My favourites were the RAF Thunderbolt, the Lancaster, Beaufighter and Beaufort -- but I could go on...More

When we visited today, two of the four exhibition halls, Milestones of Flight and the Battle of Britain Hall, were closed, apparently long-term, for major work. Having come all the way from Surrey, that was obviously disappointing, but what was more so was that there...More

Where do you take a bored 9 year old on their Christmas/ New Years holidays just before they are about to start school again? The RAF Museum. It was a great day out. The £5 ticket to the 4D theatre was well worth the 6...More

The hallmark of a well-organised operation is the way things happen seamlessly and unobtrusively. So it was at Hendon on the Sunday we visited. Staff and enthusiastic volunteers were always to hand - to answer questions, provide guidance, or remind keen youngsters to keep the...More

As far as I know there is no cloakroom at the Museum. Large bags I am sure could be left with reception somewhere but when I visited I did not need to ask for this as I was visiting from a local address. Enjoy your visit.
