Friendly welcome, plenty of sanitiser, control on numbers, so it felt very safe and comfortable. Time and space to study any of the beautiful items that catch your eye. We sat in the rose garden behind the house for our picnic. A beautiful & stress free outing. (as opposed to the very stressful & unsafe visit to the V&A Kimono exhibition!). We walked into Blackheath where the shops are also well organised and customers keep to the rules, wait outside until there is space and wear masks. All in all a very successful day out.

I visited this house having been to Greenwich previously and not being able to find it. It is well worth a visit with each room having 'blue books' with information on each item; this book even tells you exactly where the item is in the room. I was enjoying browsing and there were few visitors to the house. Unfortunately, one of the guides would not accept that I did not require her guidance and I found myself trying to avoid her in each room culminating in her physically standing in front of me to prevent me from leaving a room without listening to her preferences. I also heard her interrupting two ladies to advise them to look at something she wanted them to see when they were clearly deep in conversarion about one of the other items. Rather over zealous. Apart from this is was an enjoyable visit. As there was no tea room I had tea at the Fan Museum.

Thank you for your review of your visit. Our enthusiastic band of knowledgeable volunteers like to make sure you don't miss any of the highlights of the amazing collection of over 700 medieval and Renaissance works of art so sorry if they were a little overzealous.

We were greeted by very smiley happy informative staff who obviously loved their work. It was out first visit and we had many questions of which they answered them all. The house itself is truly beautiful and the collection fantastic. We spent over 2 hours wandering around the house with very informative books in each room easy to read. The volunteers were well informed on the collection and were able to stand and talk to discuss the collection. At the shop we purchased some great books on offer at the entrance as well as being given free postcards on the collection. We will certainly be returning at another time. A real English heritage treat.

A fantastic place full of ceramics, bronze sculptures, jewellery, carvings, canvas paintings, furniture and much more. I was informed of many historical facts by a very knowledgeable volunteer called Chris. Hope he's there when you visit. Well worth the entrance fee. Closed on Friday and Saturday. Do it.
