A beautiful church in the middle of a busy area. St Clement Danes Church was built by the Danes (descendants of the Vikings) but bombed in WW2; many of it’s interior elements were saved by being stored at St Paul’s vaults. The RAF made it...More

Beautiful quiet church in the middle of the very busy Strand near the Law Courts. Dedicated to the RAF and their service and many fine features and plenty to look at.

A poignant reminder of the role of the RAF in the defense of London. The RAF church is on an island in the iddle of the Strand. Has a bright and simple interior, and is a thought provoking reminder of different times.

Well worth a look. We thought we'd have a mooch and were blown away when we stepped inside. So much to look at.
