Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I recently took the WSET level 2 Award in Wines here. It was fantastic! Jess was a brilliant tutor, she was knowledgeable, professional and personable. It was great fun.
I decided to take the 7 week (2 hours every Tuesday evening) course. It gave me the chance to digest what I had learnt and to prepare in advance for the next lesson.
The materials that came with the course were great - a workbook, accompanying detailed wine book to refer to and excellent revision material from ‘Wine with Jimmy’.
What I know now, compared to when I started the course is amazing. I now feel confident with the wine knowledge I have learnt and will look forward at some stage to taking the level 3 course.
This is a hidden gem of a place with great facilities, interesting courses and brilliant tutors. I would thoroughly recommend someone with a little knowledge of wine to begin with and wants to further their interest, to take this course.

An excellent evening. Everyone enjoyed themselves and learned a lot doing so. The staff were attentive and well prepared. What an excellent idea. They have cheese experts too, beyond marvellous.

Hi Jimmy, no idea if you will get this but I just want to say a big big thank you. Really enjoyed studying for my level 3 and with the exam today - who knows how I got on - but it has been a wonderful experience and education. The online portals and training are genius and allow someone like me who works in hospitality and lives far away (Cumbria) to still be involved. Thank you so very much.

Just completed the Wine Scholar Guild Italian Wine Scholar with the awesome West London Wine School and graduated with Highest Hons! This was much tougher than the French Wine Scholar but Jimmy and the team brought the subject matter alive with brilliant knowledge, stories and anecdotes along with a selection of wines often with some older vintages thrown in from the Wine House cellars!

A highly recommended Wine School with first class tuition, starting with Jimmy, followed by Graham and Rosie and of course, we must not forget Valentina whom with her marvellous encouragement ensures students push themselves to the limit in order to succeed with their exams.

Super impressed with the Sake class on the Gohyakumangoku “queen of sake” varietal. Sarah was extremely knowledgeable and there were so many fascinating insights during the tasting about the sake brewers of each region. Enjoyed the different sakes chosen for the tasting and they paired well with the cheese board too. Would highly recommend joining this sake class if you’re looking to learn more about sake.

We are wine lovers my husband and I. Together we attended numerous wine tastings in many regions globally - so we do enjoy the magic behind making wine!
He booked us on this “WSET Level 1 Award in Wines” 1-day-full-time course that also outputs a certificate if you pass exam with 70%+. It’s an official education certificate, issued by the WSET.
Our lecturer was a pleasant chap named Sam, who made the experience an absolute delight, and time just went by too quickly! Sam is deeply knowledgeable, a true Wine connoisseur, but such a nice approachable cool person, and such a good teacher!
Level1 Foundation will have learning topics such as grape varieties and chemical process and the detail on how different inputs affect output, not only grape variety but terrain where it’s grown, weather differences, and the human influence on process, manually stopping fermentation before its end or adding other components
It all was a very practical course where you prove theory in your mouth, and that is what was fabulous about the entire experience!
Received the email that I passed, awaiting my cert on the post! And thinking about going for level2 and other levels …
Kudos to Sam, and also WSET! Thank you for an enjoyable marvellous discovery wine 🍷 course, professional and very well done!

My wife and I took the 8 Week Introductory course at West London Wine School.
It was brilliant!
The tutors were incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic; they could answer any question you threw at them.
The course gave us a great insight into the wines of the world and, whilst we weren't complete novices on this subject, we learnt all sorts of detail on wine regions, wine making, good and bad wines, underrated wines, overpriced wines and how to find hidden gems.
We would thoroughly recommend this course to anyone who loves wine and would like to know more about it; do the whole 8 weeks, don't pick and choose; you will get more out of it that way.
Just don't caught in the road restrictions on Imperial way.

Bonjour,
M.
