Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We really enjoyed our tour around Clerkenwell with Ross.
Learning about the architecture - and history - was a great way to be introduced to an area of London we didn't know.
Ross's passion for architecture shines through
We would love to do another tour next time we're in London.

We did the City of London Adapting to Change tour with our children age 17&18.
Ross was an excellent guide and gave some great insights around the architecture of the buildings near Lloyds. He made us appreciate the differences between old and new buildings. His passion and knowledge made it a fabulous experience for us all. We will most certainly do another tour.

This was my second tour with Ross/Seeing Architecture. This time I went for the Clerkenwell walk. (I had done the City one before.) Ross was as informative as ever, sharing a mix of fascinating trivia and foundational information about the area. These tours are nicely pitched so that both non-architects and pros alike can learn something. I highly recommend the Clerkenwell tour and Seeing Architecture generally--for Londoners and tourists both.

I have been living in London for 25 years - the tour uncovered beautiful pockets of my city that I had no idea existed! And I learnt how to appreciate buildings in a new way. Highly, highly recommended!

I went on the Nine Elms and Battersea tour, which was a lovely way to spend a sunny Sunday morning. Ross - an architect himself - was knowledgeable and friendly, and able to answer any questions. I've been on similar tours with other organisations where this hasn't been the case, so this is definitely one of the good ones. It is organised in a thoughtful and enjoyable way, so that you learn a lot about the history the the area, as well as plans for the future. I am already planning my next tour.

I arranged a tour with Ross to inspire my son Lewis, who is interested in studying architecture at university. We chose the Nine Elms and Battersea tour as we’d recently seen the Battersea Power Station episode on Sky Arts’ ‘The Art of Architecture’. Both myself and Lewis really enjoyed the two hours looking round the area, and combined with Ross’s insight, it was the perfect experience for us. The American Embassy is a must-see, along with buildings designed by Richard Rogers, Giles Gilbert Scott, WilkinsonEyre, Zaha Hadid, Kieran Timberlake, Rafael Vinoly, Foster + Partners, Frank Gehry and others, you really can’t ask for more! We’ll see you again soon hopefully Ross!

Ross was a great tour guide - the right balance between themes for novices and tourists, and details for those who already know something about the buildings. There seemed to be a surprising fact about each building we visited - and these ranged from modern (60's-present day), post-modern, classical, to Victorian. Obviously has a passion for the subject and it was a great way to spend a couple of hours.

Ross is an excellent guide. Knowledgable and clearly enjoys the history and significance of some of London’s most historic buildings.

Ross paced the tour perfectly for our mixed group - we had everyone from 8 to 76 years old, architecture lovers and not! We saw lots of interesting buildings, places we would never have found, or at least noticed, on our own. He had great insights into the history of London's architecture. I liked the addition of some images shown on his ipad.
We booked a private tour and it was a great way to have something bespoke for us. He was patient when it took ages to find a date we could all do, and communicated quickly and effectively in the run up to the date.
We all really enjoyed it!!

Took a very interesting 2 hour architectural tour of The City of London with Ross, a practicing architect. Ross was very knowledgeable, and provided good information and stories about various buildings. Highly recommended.
