I live across from the park! Great local park

This park has really come leaps and bounds and it fills me with joy going through it or having a job or picnic in the park. The quaint cafe is lovely, selling lunch and decent... read more

I never miss the chance to walk through one of London’s parks. This one has an interesting history being the site of public executions and an area for public speaking, as well as one of the oldest cricket grounds in the city. It is nice, well maintained green area with beautiful trees and ponds, perfect for taking a stroll or... More

The staff were particularly aggressive and unfriendly when I came here which has put me off ever going again. However, the portions are generous and the place is nice to sit at - so you should go if you don't mind being shouted at for no reason :)

This park has really come leaps and bounds and it fills me with joy going through it or having a job or picnic in the park. The quaint cafe is lovely, selling lunch and decent coffee. It also has a beautifully refurbished flower garden and sports area as well as a kids playground, which is so well used!! There's a... More

Visited this park on a Sunday morning. Full of fitness seekers of all ages, families, couples and loners. Beware of low flying birds, who are obviously kamaksi trained, although they did not look oriental. Beautiful trees, ponds, public statues and shrubbery. Nice piece of nature in a busy city

I've lived in Clapham North for over a year and it's taken me until yesterday to go to Kennington Park....I've missed out! The park is quite spacious and has a good mix of outdoor courts. But the main attraction for me is the outdoor screen for the Euro football and Wimbledon! Apparently it is open each time the Euro's are... More

We stumbled upon the park by surprise and are so glad did. It was a beautiful space with lots of locals relaxing, lying about, walking. A really wonderful old English garden, too, which has been recently restored.

This was my local park as a very young boy, and this latest visit was my first in over half a century. I was pleasantly surprised to see a number of features still there, but long gone is the lido and the bandstand that hosted regular concerts, mainly military in nature if memory serves me correctly. It brought back many... More

The last reviewer has done this park a disservice and as a fellow visitor from out of London (though not as far as Canada) I feel I must put a contrasting view. The park is what used to be Kennington Common and was (and remains) a gathering place for political meetings from the Chartists to Reclaim the Streets activists. These... More
