As a Blue Badge Guide I have exclusive access to guide inside major sites, including The Tower of London, Westminster Abbey and Windsor Castle. I spent a week in London with my son, daughter in law and grandchildren (ages 10 & 12). London did not disappoint but what took the experience over the top was the two days we spent with Gavin. He was immediately able to assess each of our interests and kept us all captivated with his warmth, humor, incredible scope of knowledge and storytelling ability. Because he guided us around on the perfect timetable we found ourselves in the best spots for viewing all the events. He had treats and learning aids for the children. It was like being with a dear friend who could bring history alive.

We just returned from five incredible days in London and we were lucky to have Gavin with us for 4 of them. Because we were traveling with 3 teenage daughters, I wanted their first trip to London to be filled with history and fun! From the first day, Gavin knew all the ins and outs of London- the perfect time to view the changing of the guards and the secret locations, the best food to visit at Borough Market, the hidden gems, highlights of Tower of London and the list goes on and on. Gavin was a wealth of knowledge, super engaging with our daughters and very professional. I highly recommend Gavin to anyone traveling to London- family, couples or friends. We were so sad to say goodbye!

We had an absolutely amazing time with Gavin. We booked him for a full day private family tour that included Westminster Abby, walks by Parliament & Buckingham Palace and The Tower of London. Gavin knew exactly how to cater the tour to my daughters (ages 14 and 10) and was a wealth of knowledge about every place we went. He was so engaging and just a pleasure to spend the day with. Absolutely book a tour with Gavin, you won't regret it. Our day with him was the highlight of our trip!

Absolutely fabulous London tour guide! Gavin brought history alive for us and added great dimension to what we saw. We would have missed 95% without his wonderful and entertaining insights. Couldn’t have been better.

It was an absolute pleasure being your guide for the 3 days of your visit to London. We saw many different areas of London, which gave you the opportunity to experience important British cultural experiences like afternoon tea, a London market and of course some "pub grub" in an old London boozer!! My husband and I don't usually do guided tours because we never like the tour guides. Now we won't be able to because Gavin can't be our forever guide! He was wonderful. He knew his history, we learned so much. His enthusiasm was contagious. We felt we were roaming London with a friend. We highly recommend Gavin. Thank you, Gavin!

Wow, where do I begin, this most recent tour in September of 2023 was my third tour with Gavin and my second visit to London in the last 6 months; I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Gavin. My husband and I originally had Gavin as a tour guide for both Oxford and London and enjoyed our time with him so much that I planned another tour with Gavin when I returned a couple months later with friends for a conference. As someone who often books private tour guides I can confidently say that Gavin is one of the best in the business. We learned so much from Gavin on our tours, he is extremely knowledgeable, and also an excellent story teller which really brings the history to life. Gavin is professional, polite, and always well prepared. We really appreciate how he tailored the tours based on what we like and certain things we wanted to see. As if that wasn’t enough another special bonus is that throughout the tour Gavin makes sure you get your picture taken with your group at these wonderful locations. So, if you’re in London and looking for a fantastic tour guide, look no further.

It was an absolute pleasure showing you, your husband and friend the highlights of London and Oxford. And what better way of finishing the tour than with a little whisky tasting session at Berry Bros & Rudd!! Cheers!
