I bought this as a present for my husband. I was nervous about whether he would enjoy it. I need not have worried. We both thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, the service (special mention to Allie, she was excellent), the musicians, the way the food was weaved into the performance, (each course was delicious) and the acting. We were totally immersed and the whole performance deserved a standing ovation, but sadly I was the only one that did stand and applaud. Absolutely fantastic. Oh and I must not forget the cocktails, delicious. I tried the Swizzle and the Sling. The swizzle was my favourite.
I would also add that at first I thought it was expensive. However, when you consider you get table service for your drinks, a 3 course al a carte meal and an immersive experience I think it is well worth it and would definitely recommend and go again.

Visited The Lost Estate - Sherlock Holmes Hound of the Baskervilles for an evening of food and entertainment based on a victorian dining experience. We were invited to a press conference at 221B Baker Street by Dr Watson and Sherlock Holmes to recall their experience of solving the case of the murder of Sir Charles Baskerville and the attempted murder of Sir Henry Baskerville. The story was enacted around the diners with a break in between for each dinner course. The food was divine especially the dessert which was a strawberry cheesecake with champagne sorbet. The experience included a welcome glass of champagne, vip check-in, three course dinner and a complimentary glass of masala wine to finish. The whole experience was excellent, great acting. The actor playing Sherlock was brilliant, so good in fact it was almost like Sir Arthur Conan Doyles famous detective had stepped out of the book. Would highly recommend these experiences, the theme changes throughout the year.

On Thursday, April 11th, I had the pleasure of attending The Lost Estate's immersive production of The Hound of the Baskervilles. From the moment we entered the secret passageway leading to 221B Baker Street, I knew this was going to be an extraordinary experience.
The entire performance was meticulously crafted. The cast and crew were phenomenal, bringing the classic Sherlock Holmes mystery to life in a truly captivating way. We were guests at a Victorian dinner party, complete with delicious food and drinks that seamlessly intertwined with the narrative. The actors and musicians expertly utilised the entire space, creating an intimate and engaging atmosphere.
While the price tag might seem high at first glance, let me assure you, it's worth every penny! Considering the quality of the performance, the three-course gourmet meal, and the level of detail – it felt significantly more affordable compared to booking a high-end West End show with a similar dinner experience.
As someone with visual impairments, I particularly appreciated the crew's attentiveness. They ensured I had a seat that allowed me to enjoy both the visual and auditory aspects of the performance. The immersive nature of the production, with its rich soundscapes and dialogue, truly transported me to the heart of the Victorian era.
The Lost Estate's Hound of the Baskervilles is more than just a performance; it's an unforgettable experience. A big thank you to the entire team – the cast, the crew, and The Lost Estate itself. This is a must-see for any fan of Sherlock Holmes or immersive theatre! Don't miss your chance to be swept away by this captivating production – book your tickets now before it's gone!

Outstanding evening - Superb performance, great food and excellent service. From the moment you walk in and knock on the door of 221B Baker Street, you are immersed in the show. Lovely tables with Tiffany lamps, and a server who looked after us so well. The food was top quality (especially as they were catering for a lot of people) and we had vegan and vegetarian options on our table too (it all arrived at the same time, which made such a difference). The show was superb - an amazing performance, with a small cast and so many character changes…amazing. We dressed up in Victorian costume, which we were so pleased we did and added to the fun. It can be a bit pricey (there were 6 of us), but a lovely treat for birthdays, anniversary’s etc and it’s a first class show / dinner / evening. Would highly recommend.

Had a really enjoyable night out.
Not cheap by any means but by definition an show such as this cannot be to a massive audience without losing the atmosphere, so there is a limit to how many seats they can sell per evening.
Food was good, but maybe could have been a little more generous with the portions.
The cocktails were amazing, again priced at the top end of what I would usually be happy with, but of course London pricing is always higher than what I am used to in the Midlands.
Loved the experience and would come again!

Immersive is a very overly used word. However, this truly was an extremely intelligent and totally Immersive experience. Sight, smell, sound, use of smoke, temperature and music were so very cleverly thought through to give a fantastic experience. Sam collings as sherlock stood out but all the acting was great. The food was excellent and the service was incredibly friendly yet extremely professional (waiters serving sections at exactly the same time). We had vip package and for what is included we were very happy with the pricing. It's up close and personal which allows you to feel part of the show. Very highly recommended we absolutely loved it. Its difficult to explain how good this is.

Wow what a wonderful evening, the walk down the alley to the event was interesting, which then sets the scene, once inside you are greeted front of house by a very friendly gentleman and shown to a fabulous setting inside. We enjoyed a delicious 6 course meal, champagne, cocktails and a 5 star performance, the whole show from start to finish was amazing.
My only disappointment was being told several times you could not take photos or videos inside, which I understand of the performance but a complete ban ! It would have been nice to capture a moment with my friends, to then witness 2 tables constantly filming and taking photos of the event, and be told “ they are invited influencers” and are allowed . You can’t tell people no pictures to then allow it or at least advise your audience !

The Great Murder Mystery event was a top class immersive experience from start to finish.
From the start of the booking experience to the end of the event itself, communication by the provider was on point.
The theatrical experience was second to none; the quality of all the performances were exceptional. I am a regular theatre goer and have never experienced anything like this before; the performance was ahead of its time, inclusive and diverse, we were mesmerised from beginning to end and invested in it.
The musicians were outstanding and transported and enhanced the story telling to another level, seamless musical transitions from actor to actor and scene to scene; the clever use of lighting enhanced the atmospheric ambience; pure quality.
The dining staff were slick, professional and courteous. The food was exceptional, fine dining at its best and done to a large scale without compromising quality; the wine pairings were divine.
The venue transported us back in time to the Victorian era; stunning.
So pleased I picked this experience to celebrate my best friend's significant birthday.

It was absolutely superb, thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
The cast members gave a truly immersive performance, the food was delicious and a great atmosphere made it worth every penny.
Thank you to all involved.
Would have loved a photo with the cast, would have been happy to have paid extra as part of our VIP experience as was celebrating my 60th.

Fantastic performance by those who took part in the play. The food was delicious. All members of staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. It is an expensive evening out, but worth doing. We love immersive experiences and have done the Christmas Carol and Sherlock Holmes dinners. Both were excellent in different ways. If you are planning on visiting then I would recommend having your own private dining table as it feels more intimate. Thank you and keep it up!

Attending the Jazz Age experience in a week and was wondering if the venue is easy to find? Unsure whether to use tubes/trains or taxi to get there.

Hi,
Questions about package / seating.
I am interested to know if it is worth an extra £80 (for two tickets) to have your own table, any advice appreciated. Are the private tables in a much better position to warrant the extra spend, or would I best be served in a shared table? Not fussed about sitting with others. And thinking that I would have £80 extra for drinks :)

I’m going to see this tomorrow - can’t wait … just wondering what the general dress code is, do people generally dress up for the era, or just evening wear … or does anything go?
Written 4 April 2024
Hello, what does "Club Bar Rail" seating mean? Would the 4 of us in my group be sat at a narrow table in a row? And would we be on tall stools?
Written 5 July 2023
Hello, yes tall stools up at the back along the side in a long narrow line, we think we had the best seats in the house. Went down for a dance also.
Written 6 July 2023
Hi! Any thoughts on which ticket to choose? I'm reading mixed reviews on this but willing to take a punt.
Question is, do I go for the basics (£70) or go all out VIP (£175+)?
Love to hear any feedback on value/seating options.
Thanks!
Written 3 June 2023
I went vip and although I loved the show the vip isn’t worth it. The seating isn’t better, you get free cloakroom but it’s only like £2 anyway and a drink. The cost doesn’t work out.

About to attend our first experience with the lost estate.
Any recommendations on attire for the evening?
Written 13 April 2023
A lot wore period costume, myself included. I wore a Gatsby dress I purchased from ebay with long pearls and a headband. Even those women who didn’t wear the flapper dress wore a flapper headband. I saw a few men wearing shirts with those braces thingies and a hat from the era, or a jacket and scarf from the era.
