First of all, "family with teenagers" isn't correct. I am 23 and I went with my father. This however, does not influence any of my content(!) Staff were lovely and the venue is really cool! While our tickets were fine and came through the post well on time it became apparent that not everybody else in the audience had the... More

A great small venue the wife and I came upon online due our (well my - Mr) love of the Beastie Boys. A New York Native and hip hop fan from the early days the show was spectacular. A look from old to new in hip hop thru the eyes of the Beastie Boys. We absolutely loved it. Then venue... More

I saw Orca a play that won the Papatango award 2016 for best new writing and enjoyed it a lot. The audience was gathered around the stage which gives a very intimate atmosphere. Sat in row 1 and the actors and actresses played very close to me. The pub is amazing. Situated in zone 1 close to Elephant & Castle... More

Perhaps the neighbor does not lend itself to walking from a tube or a restaurant at night - but we can in the late summer and were glad we were in a group as our shortcut took us through a block that seemed a bit sketchy. In any event the theater is small but comfortable and the seats offered nice... More

Saw the production of Tennessee Williams 'Confessional' which they set in a Southend Pub and had turned the Little Theatre into a real life boozer which was very well done. The cast acted by intermingling with the audience which must have been challenging for them but they succeeded.

I went to see a play on Saturday night called Confessional, written by Tennessee Williams. It was absolutely fantastic and featured such a brilliant cast. It was set in a pub and you literally felt like you were in there with the regulars and the punters. If you are in London you simply HAVE to watch this show.

I really enjoyed the Greater game about the footballers and fans of the football team of what is now called Leyton Orient going off to fight in the Great War. It was poignant and a fitting tribute for the centenary. I thought it was well acted and I must confess I am a fan of the Southwark Playhouse as you... More

The true story of the 'They took the lead' about Clapton (Leyton) Orient footballers being the first professional footballers to enlist for the 1st WW and what happened to them. A true tale sad, funny, gripping and wonderfully played out by the actors. This is an intimate venue, small but serviced very well. Good access from local stations. and Priced... More
