Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had the most wonderful day!
From the changing of the guard, St Paul’s, Westminster Abbey, lunch in St James Park and the Tower of London, ending it all with a view of the sunset from Greenwich it was a magical day.
I can’t wait to book another tour with Mike 😀

We spent a full day to Oxford and Blenheim Castle. The guide was very kind, provided us with great explanations. The car was very comfortable and the schedule simply perfect. We would definitely recommend Robinson Tours !

We hired Michael Robinson for a full day tour in London and then a one way transfer to Heathrow Airport after our tour. Let's put it this way--all 6 of the people in our party hugged Michael good-bye when we got to the airport. That says a lot! It was like leaving a friend we hadn't seen in many years.

Michael picked us up at 9am sharp in his Mercedes van for our full day tour which included the changing of the guard (including a parade), Westminster Abbey, the Tower of London, a drive by the London Eye, Tower Bridge, Big Ben, a visit to Abbey Road to take pictures walking in the cross walk, lunch in a typical London restaurant, and more. Michael was very cognizant of the fact that we were traveling with 3 kids, aged 18-24, and made sure that he didn't overload us with anything the kids might not like or relate to.

Driving in London is "an experience," and we were all amazed at Michael's incredible driving skills. Wow! Does this man know how to maneuver the streets in London!!

We developed such a nice bond with Michael that we told him that if he ever ventured to Los Angeles, we'd take him around and return the favor. He's a wonderful guy, terrific guide, and people-pleaser. Thank you, Michael.

Michael is a delightful and knowledgeable guide, an easy conversationalist and indeed a Renaissance man. Be the subject history, art, architecture, sports, politics, popular culture, Michael handles all with facility, making the tour feel more like an enjoyable tutorial with a friend rather than a canned tour. I would highly recommend Michael. You will gain knowledge, enjoy the experience, and value a new friendship.

My family had the very fortunate experience to have Michael for our London (and surrounding areas) guide for four days. We were very impressed with his knowledge of history and architecture, his professionalism and reliability, his wit and humor, and his warm and congenial personality. He did an excellent job of sharing his vast knowledge of historical sites and also gave suggestions on interesting local areas to visit. I love learning about the history but also enjoy exploring the places that are not the typical "tourist" attractions. People watching and nibbling on local food favorites was fantastic at Borough Market--someplace where we would not have visited but did so after Michael's recommendations.
Michael is very engaging and made the history--even the gory details--fascinating for all of us, including our teenagers! He has a great sense of humor and an easy, comfortable style with diverse interests, effortlessly conversing about fine art to sports and soccer!
We highly recommend Michael and envy the next family that is fortunate to have him as their guide. We will definitely book tours with him for our next trip!

My family was referred to Michael Robinson's tour service for our first trip to London. Our expectations were high and Michael surpassed them. First, Michael is a very personable, witty highly professional man. He is extremely punctual and well mannered and has a very easy style. His tours include much more than just transport to various sites with simple explanations. Michael was previously an academic art historian and his knowledge becomes readily apparent. His is very enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge with you. In addition, Michael explains British history, culture and traditions. We accomplished much more than we ever expected to during our five days with Michael. His service is worth every penny (pence?) and we will most certainly be seeking them on our next trip to London.

My wife and I stumbled onto Michael two summers ago. We were overwhelmed by his erudition, articulateness, charm, sense of humor and kindness. We have had roughly 35 different guides in cities across Europe over the last 8-9 years, of which several were quite good. But none compare favorably with Michael. He is not only the best; he is head and shoulders above the rest—in a whole different league. In fact, we enjoyed our time with Michael so much two summers ago that we planned our trip this year around more things we wanted to see with Michael. And, again, we were treated to the best guiding experience we have ever had. Over the two trips, we have been with Michael not only to many of the standard sites in London (along with some under-appreciated London gems Michael suggested)--but also to Oxford for a specially designed—by Michael-- “C.S. Lewis” tour we had requested, to Stratford on Avon and to Jane Austin’s home outside of Alton. Michael’s breadth and depth of knowledge, coupled with his marvelous personality, made even the longest day interesting, enlightening and very enjoyable. Normally, I cannot absorb as much information as I would like, but with Michael it came easily because of his unique way of conveying the information. And he is very flexible—offering suggestions as he gets to know your interests. Several times we changed itineraries slightly on the fly at his suggestion and they were always spot on. (We have also bought several of his books and they too are wonderful.) We feel so fortunate to have stumbled onto Michael; we know our future travel experiences will be richer for it.

Michael provided my wife and I with a first class tour lasting five days. Not only did the tour exceed our expectations, in addition we received a great history lesson concerning the areas that we visited. I can not say enough for the way we were treated by him. Jim B

My family and I came to the UK with the idea of spending just one day with Michael, but we had such a great time we just had to ask Michael to give us more of his time. We ended up spending a further three days with him. His knowledge and ability to inform and entertain was far beyond anything we have previously experienced, Michael truly sets the standard that all other guides should aim for.
If you want to discover something special then book a trip with Robinson Private Tours and truly have a trip of a lifetime.
Thank you Michael, for a truly unforgettable visit to the UK, hope to come back for many years to come.
