Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Thought I’d give floatworks a go, while undertaking other well-being sessions, following a pretty bad time after my dads passing and a car accident. Figured this could be both the mental and physical rehab necessary, so gave it a try.
The first session in Vauxhall was great, it was a morning session and therefore not busy so nice and quiet, I went into some kind of meditation I hadn’t felt or experienced before and felt very chilled out after. The girl on that day was also super friendly and nice and left the tank on a bit longer due as it took me a while to shower etc in my slightly less than awake state! Who knows though, I was a little hungover, so maybe it was just last nights session still in my system…. as I didn’t feel like that the second time. Tea selection and books are also fab.
Second time I went after work and it was noisy, you can hear people walking above you quite heavy footed. Therefore I couldn’t relax or switch off, as all I could hear was what I presume staff running about cleaning. Therefore I would not recommend an evening float.
Finally, make sure you check the 3 month expiration period when you buy a pack of floats. You wouldn’t think the expiration period was so short for an item like this. It’s not a gym membership or personal training session that you’d typically use weekly. You don’t always go to floats frequently as you have to be in the right headspace to fully reap the benefits.
I was a few weeks out and just got a blanket no, and no reply to my email saying it was a shame as I was only a few weeks over the expiry date. Some flex on this could have been seen as good customer service, or at least a reduced rate. Alas money prevails. A shame, as I wanted to see if it really does give meditative benefits by trying a third time. But frankly, I refuse to fork out more, for such little flex.

The staff are super helpful and friendly, they are always very welcoming and there is such a lovely calm atmosphere from the minute you arrive.
I had my first float back in January 2020 and have been sad to miss out during the various lockdowns. Now that it’s back open I’m getting back into heading there to switch off, rest and relax.
Knowing that you have a precious 60 mins to yourself away from all distractions is wonderful.
I leave feeling both relaxed and energised.
Love floating - love floatworks.

I LOVE Floatworks! It is one of my favourite ways to recharge, connect with myself and feel restored. I bought the first session as a birthday gift for my boyfriend, and sharing the experience of how it went gave us a great moment of connection. Since then, I have kept going and I have gifted it to many friends, as I think everyone should try it once!
Some of the realisations I had during my sessions have helped me not only to feel better and understand important life lessons, but also to grow my business.
The staff in Old Street (the only place I have been so fa) is always warm and welcoming, finding the right balance between giving me my space and making me feel at home.
And I love that there is all I need to get back to work afterwards (hairdryer, straightener and so on!). Extremely recommended! Keep it up!

Booked for me and a friend as a birthday treat to her and we loved it. Super relaxing and soothing - something I'd definitely recommend trying for yourself. The pods open manually so no need to fear getting stuck inside, and if claustrophobic, you can leave the lid open if you'd like to. The staff were great (I visited the Angel branch) and explained everything brilliantly. Also, the facilities to shower, moisturise, dry your hair, etc. were fab too. Didn't need to bring anything along!

I love floating. It’s the one time when nothing in my old body hurts! It’s brilliant.
Usually I have an hour of nothingness, a peaceful time which is mine alone. But my last float was an exception. For no fault of Floatworks, I simply could not relax. My muscles would twitch and I felt like I was sinking. I kept trying to get centred and relaxed but to no avail. After about half an hour I got out.
My only explanation is that I was floating first thing in the morning, when my brain and body were ready for action. Normally I float mid- to late afternoon, when relaxation is welcome.
I’ll certainly return and try again, just not in the morning!

Fantastic experience- highly recommend. Was very apprehensive and the members of staff were so brilliant that I felt at ease immediately. Sam deserves a particular shoutout for being wonderful! Everything was explained so thoroughly that I had a relaxing float and wouldn't hesitate to go back. Felt like I had the best, longest nights sleep of my life.

Having previously floated in Jan at the Angel site, I thought I’d try Vauxhall. I wasn’t disappointed, I came with my son and friend as they were curious to experience floating too.
Great venue, staff were welcoming and informative. We all had a wonderful float and left feeling super relaxed.

Floatworks (Angel) is an oasis of calm in the middle of Islington. The staff are friendly, the place is clean and modern. The float room is spacious and the shower modern and efficient. The float pod is large enough to float without feeling too enclosed. The water's just the right temperature and I drift off into semi-consciousness and come out relaxed and calmed.

Saw an advert for Floatworks and gave a single float a try and loved it. Tried a few more and found everyone helped me feel more relaxed and eased my neck and back pain. Feeling after a float is like a gentle message mixed with a gentle sauna session. I now go every two weeks and feel a lot less tense. Highly recommend anyone trying it.

absolutely yes! you may feel a little uncomfortable for the first few minutes, that's just your body relaxing - I get that in my shoulders - but persevere, it's worth it. You'll benefit from going more than just once, if you can then go at least every couple of months and you'll feel a difference.

Visit their website for offers - about £50 - but so worth it for an hour in the tank and then refreshments and chill time.
