Excellent service
Jun 2021 • Friends
Had lunch with friends in Pizza Pilgrims Lower Marsh and the whole experience was great! The service was attentive and friendly. We were served in a timely manner and there was somebody always available to take our orders or replenish our drinks. The pizza was outstanding! Been Italian I was truly impressed with the quality of the pizza and really made a point to thank the pizza Chef, Andrea, giving me a “slice” of Italy on a Thursday lunch in London 💕 - thank you

Good choice of food stalls
Jan 2020
Was assisting an ex-colleague from my working days in entertaining her nephew who was staying in London for a couple of weeks. Having had a good day up the Shard and a fine Turkish meal one day, a visit the following day to the Imperial War Museum led us to Lower Marsh and its food market. There is a good variety of foodstuffs available here and making a choice can be quite difficult. The "lamb and chicken" stall is very good, as is the Indian food one (near the Old Vic end). Others looked equally tempting, and if in future I have a visit planned for a matinee at either Old or Young Vic, then a quick lunch here will be a good option.. ,

Street food from around the globe
Jan 2020
Located around the corner from Waterloo Station with Jubilee tube station exit around the corner. Leake Street grafitti tunnel is located off this street. It has street food from a range of world cuisines.

Not what is was...!
Jan 2020
Visited on Saturday 11th January around 10:30am about four stalls open. Vinyl stall was busy with a very good selection. Loads of places to get a coffee or breakfast. However, this was not the "Cut" as I new it, which was a very busy vibrant street market. So, yes disappointed. Maybe, another time or in the Spring/Summer it would be better...?

Great market, especially the bamboo stall
Dec 2019 • Couples
I love this market. There was something for everyone and it was very local. There are food stalls, record stalls and shopping for everyone. I particularly loved the natural decoration stall that sold a variety of items made from bamboo and reusable products.

A very local Market away from the Christmas market traps in London.

Small Local Market
Jun 2019 • Family
This market is just a short walk from Waterloo.
It was just opening & getting going when we walked through it on an early Saturday morning.
Whilst there look to be a lot of street food stalls we were particularly interested in the secondhand record/vinyl stall and there was a lovely Portuguese ceramic stall.
Worth a visit.

Deserted on a Tuesday.

I’m sure it’s great at weekends, and a business owner in the area confirmed it is really busy then, but advertising that this is on in the week felt a little misleading. There were a dozen or so stall holders all selling interesting looking food from around the globe, but nothing else. Wish the website had said it was a weekend event really.

Looks promising

Advised by the local Big Issue magazine seller, this is where you should be at for a good variet of street food from all over the world. Judging by the outlets still open when I was there in the late afternoon, it'll be great for my taste.

A very average market
May 2019 • Solo
Lower Marsh Market is a traditional food, arts and crafts market located close to Waterloo Station. As markets and independent shops go in London, it's not that big and the numbers of stalls are limited compared to the likes of Broadway, Borough, Portobello and Shepherd's Bush etc.
