Have wanted to scale the o2 for ages now and finally talked a friend to join me, we were attending an event later that night, I would say this a must and makes a real day of it if seeing a show later.
I booked "Up at The o2" as a surprise for my mum on her 60th birthday, also for my brother and cousin. Managed to get a discount through the o2 Priority app.
I didn't tell any of the group where we were going until we...More
I climbed the O2 on a Saturday evening at the 19:00 slot. I booked online which allows a maximum of 16 people per trip.
When we arrived at 18:45 I noticed that they ran a group every 15 minutes with pre-bookings on the hour and...More
loved it, its hard work getting up and can be a bit tricky climbing down but felt safe at all times and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our guide (Jack) was fantastic and very helpful along the way so i would definitely recommend it to anyone
Really enjoyed my Up @ The O2 experience which was made even better by our lovely guide Natalie. It was really chilled and we weren't rushed at all. I would definitely recommend doing this, however my advice would be to take lots of photos/get someone...More
Luckily we had beautiful weather for the climb ! It was a really good experience with an excellent value for money. Claire was a really enthusiastic group leader and was very fun and even educational on London. I would definitely recommend for an experience !
I was a bit scared at first but George explained everything that you need to know. When I got half way up I started to relax and enjoy the climb. George was with the whole group all the way if I was to climb again...More
I was one of 12-13 people in my group to participate, prior to this I was ever sooo scared due to the height, towards the end going down at the steepest level George was very encouraging and soo helpful, wouldn’t have finished that last hurdle...More
Greenwich Mean Time starts here, so to speak, as the very concept of global time was established at Royal Observatory, just one of several buildings of architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park and a number of related buildings (and one world famous ship, the Cutty Sark) make up the UNESCO World Heritage site known as Maritime Greenwich. Today a
laser beam is shot out across the night sky from the Observatory to mark the location of the Prime Meridian. Other bold (some say brash) 21st century additions to the area include landmarks such as The O2 entertainment complex (previously known as the Millennium Dome) and the Air Line cable cars, which offer scenic transport across the Thames between North Greenwich and the Royal Docks.
