I met a business contact here. Getting in the door at 6pm was a bit of a hassle, despite having booked, because I wasn’t wearing a mask. Why do staff need to be told two or three times that you’re exempt before they stop telling you you have to wear one. They need to be trained, according to the Government regulations which state: “In settings where face coverings are required in England there are some circumstances where people may not be able to wear a face covering. “Please be mindful and respectful of such circumstances. Some people are less able to wear face coverings, and the reasons for this may not be visible to others.” However, when I went outside for a cigarette, at about 7pm things got worse. A big bouncer had arrived on the scene in an ill-fitting black suit. When I came back in he started shouting at me to put a mask on. I said I was exempt but he wanted to know why (this is a private health issue which he is not entitled to know about or ask about). I told him I did not have to tell him. He then demanded proof. I again drew his attention to the regulations (which he had obviously never read): “If you have an age, health or disability reason for not wearing a face covering: “You do not routinely need to show any written evidence of this “You do not need show an exemption card “This means that you do not need to seek advice or request a letter from a medical professional about your reason for not wearing a face covering.” He then followed me to my table and carried on hassling me. When I pointed out that his mask should cover his nose, not just his mouth, he told me that he could throw me out. What a ghastly, soulless place. I will be reporting them to the local licensing authority because the volume of the (vast number) of televisions is so loud that you have to shout to be able to be heard. This, is dangerous and causes people to emit the very aerosols which spread coronavirus.

My second time here to meet friends and watch sport. The crew are fantastic and very accommodating. We all have to adapt in these strange times but here we all felt it was well organised and comfortable. Table service was quick and attentive. Many thanks to all of the staff for looking after us and making us feel welcome. Will definitely be going back.

I live nearby this pub, so it is handy. Everytime I go there, I always say, "That's the last time I'm spending any money in there". Tonight is definately the last night. I met my better half off the tube and we made the mistake of thinking we could have a nice relaxed hour in here. COVID B/S rules aside (they won't let you just take your pints from the bar after ordering them from the bar like you can in any Wetherspoon's), at 11.05, they made us pour our remaining drinks into plastic glasses, At 11.08 a bouncer came over and told us we now had to leave. You're paying nearly £6 / pint and they rush you out the door. Maybe they where all in a rush to attend customer service training? Last orders Bell: 10.50 Last orders: 11.00 Time gentlemen please: 11.20 NEVER AGAIN...

Hi Thank you for your review. Sorry if you feel our not letting you take drinks from the bar is stupid but I'm afraid it our company policy to avoid a build up of people standing at the bar, we do this to try and make our drinking environment as safe as possible for all our customers. We have found most of our customers have enjoyed having there drinks brought over to them and get to interact with our friendly floor staff. We have also introduced an app so people can order safely from there tables with less moving around and risk of COVID transmission through reduced social distancing. In regards to being ushered out the door, I believe from chatting to the team and door staff on that night that while they did shut the bar slightly early as nobody wanted another drink they did allow a 20 minute drinking up period from the time the bar closed and the last drink was served. Regards, Famous Three Kings

Dropped in to watch them football and had a couple of sharing platters between 5 of us. Service was quick, food tasty, hot and just enough for 5 of us. Staff friendly and although it's a sports bar/pub it's not too noisy or crowded.
