This Victorian era church is set back from one of the West End's streets, with a tiny courtyard surrounded on three sides by the church itself, the Choir School and a residential college for theology students. It replaced a previous 18th century chapel on the...More

Not only is the church a grade one listed church, but it's not a stuffy experience it's a living breathing entity They allow a small group of rough sleepers to rest in an area at the back of the church, that's humanity personified. Met the...More

Another one of those hidden Jews in London. All Saints Chruch on Margret Street is one of William Butterfield's master pieces. If you are at all interested in architecture, it is well worth a visit.

A rather uninspiring church from the outside, nestled amongst a crowd of other uninspiring buildings. However, when entering, the glow from the stained glass windows is what first hits you. As your eyes get used to the relative dimness of the interior, the ceiling and...More

As a big fan of Victorian architecture, I decided to visit this church. Unfortunately I was not able to admire its interior as after literally 15 seconds spent there I was forced to run away. The church seems to be a shelter for homeless men...More

What an amazing gem of a church, hidden behind Oxford Street. Designed by William Butterfield and built in the 1850s, a wonderful example of the Gothic Revival. Just stunning. A must visit. Do leave a donation when you leave so they can continue renovations.

This church is interesting both architecturally and historically. Knowing that it occupies an important place in the history of "high church" Anglicanism enhances the experience of Butterfield's masterpiece. It is wonderful that the church is kept open for visitors during the week, as so many...More

Butterfield pulled out all the Victorian treasures he could find when he designed All Saints. Not only did he fit the Church, the vicarage, and (originally) a Choir School around a lovely open courtyard, this all fits into a space barely over 100 square feet....More

I have often seen the church spire from Oxford Street but had no idea that this church has so many wonderful pieces of craftsmanship: colourful floor and wall tiles, marble, ironwork and stained glass. It has been recently renovated and I am glad that anyone...More
