We were one of two couples traveling to London from the US for a long weekend in early December. London was so beautifully decorated! That added to the tour but mainly the tour guide was super talented and knowledgable.
We enjoyed the most fascinating day learning about London with William, our late-20's Yellow Moon tour guide. My husband and I have hired private tour guides in Tunis, Rome, Barcelona, Paris and Athens in the past decade of travel. William was THE most impressive! Very energetic, historically knowledgable, with a witty sense of humor. For us he was paired up with a driver in a very comfortable high-end van, WIliam led us all over the city from the typical Buckingham Palace changing guard ceremony to amazing street art, through famous markets and past cathedrals and castles. We learned so much and cannot wait to return for a Foodie or Pub or Music or Stonehenge tour!

Joe from Yellow Moon Tours is a gem of a guide. Our day with him was outstanding! When visiting a new city, we often take a guided tour to get our bearings and add some color. In all our travels, we've never experienced anything like the "Lockdown Tour" we had in November. Seeing London like this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. We covered so much ground and felt like we had the city to ourselves. Joe's stories brought the history and landmarks to life. From his tales about the early days of rock'n'roll to his humorous tidbits about architecture, we had a History of London course in just a day. While the tourists are few in number, if you are lucky enough to live in the city, you should treat yourself to a day with Joe!

After a hurricane canceled our trip to Florida, we planned a last minute trip to London 24 hours before leaving from the US. I contacted Yellow Moon at midnight and they immediately replied--I knew it would be a long shot getting a private guide with one day's notice, but they were able to work with us and within 12 hours we had traded multiple emails, jumped on a phone call to go over details, and all of a sudden our last minute trip was all planned out! My husband, 11 year old daughter and I had an incredible three days with Yellow Moon. We spent two days with Joe who was fabulous. On our arrival day, we did a foodie tour which was a great way to kick off the trip after an overnight flight. The next day we had full day custom city highlights tour. Joe knew our daughter is a Harry Potter fan and he made sure to point out lots of spots around the city from the movies throughout the day! The third day we were with Justin who was also great! We opted to visit the inside of Westminster Abbey, the Churchill War Rooms and the Tower of London. Justin was super knowledgable about all three. Both Joe and Justin were great with our daughter which is a MUST for a family traveling with kids. I'd highly recommend Yellow Moon-from their immediate response to my last minute request to the perfect execution of exactly what we were looking for. We couldn't have asked for anything more!

Once again, I had family members traveling between the USA and the UK on the same day as a truly unique, never to be forgotten event: The funeral for Queen Elizabeth II. Just as Yellow Moon smoothly handled the transfer of family members arriving in the UK on the starting day of the Platinum Jubilee celebration, they once again came through with the seemingly effortless collection and transfer to Heathrow of a family of four headed across the Atlantic. Laura of Yellow Moon could not have been more patient with my endless questions about the arrangements for safely transporting a family consisting of an infant and a toddler.
Laura graciously agreed to my request to ask Steve to drive the family. He had previously transported the family on two occasions. The babies’ parents were so impressed with Steve’s skillful and safe driving as well as his professional demeanor that they asked for him to be their driver. Anytime one is transporting your precious babies between continents, one wants the best driver to drive during the first leg of the trip. Steve is quite simply the best there is!
My amazement at the general level of Yellow Moon’s service and Steve’s in particular is understandable when one considers the circumstances prevailing on September 19th. While the reservation was made well in advance of the Queen’s death, there were the security concerns that arose because of the funeral. For that reason, they had to be promptly collected at 2:00 a.m. in Christchurch, driven safely to Heathrow, and all their luggage (including child safety seats) unloaded in a timely fashion.
Timing was crucial precisely because the air space around Heathrow was closed for a certain amount of time before and during the Queen’s funeral. They simply could not miss their 6:30 a.m. flight to Frankfort, take a later flight, and then be certain that they would be able to make their connecting flight to Detroit.
Steve was promptly at their home at 2:00 a.m. in Christchurch and was as pleasant and helpful as if he were picking them up at 10:00 a.m. His kindness and graciousness are definitely appreciated. Equally appreciated was his skillful and safe driving and expertise in negotiating the area around Heathrow on day when security had to have been heightened. Steve delivered them to Heathrow in good time for going through passenger security.
Yellow Moon always has luxurious cars for its tours and transfers. This car was luxurious, and this family of four including two babies in child safety seats was supremely comfortable. I will be in touch with Laura at Yellow Moon and will request Steve as a driver for airport transfers for any future trips to the UK that my family will be making. They are quite simply the best in their business!

April 2022 was an exciting time to be in London. Museums and attractions had recently opened up as Covid-19 restrictions were eased. It was our pleasure to see our guides renewing their relationships with museum staff members. Our traveling group of 3 couples relied on Yellow Moon Tours for 4 tours, with 4 different guides. For our first half-day tour, we asked Joe, our guide, to show us some "odd bits" about London, and bring us to the theater district at the end. Very entertaining. Joe has a special interest in Winston Churchill, which we, sadly, did not take advantage of. Maybe next visit. Our second tour guide, Barbara, led us on a motor trip to Canterbury and Dover. Barbara expertly led us through the church, really giving life to the significance of this site. Third tour was another half-day with Corinna, driving to Hampton Court. Corinna has an encyclopedic knowledge of the personalities of the Tudor period. Lastly, our 4th "whirlwind" tour through the British Museum and National Gallery with Richard. His narratives at specific archeological objects and paintings made us wish the tour were more than several hours.

Our kids half-day iconic tour with Ollie and driver Ana was outstanding! All of us- especially our 8 and 11 year olds - were mesmerized the entire time. Ollie’s stories and knowledge were made for such an engaging experience. In fact our 8 year old now asks if we have a tour guide for every other London site we visit. Thank you Yellow Moon!

The tour was wonderful showing us all the main attractions in London. They drove us around in an incredibly comfortable car so my kids and husband never complained about walking too much! Timing was perfect to hear Big Ben chime and see the changing of the guard. Our guide Guy was incredibly knowledgeable but so engaging with our 8 and 11 year olds. They loved asking him questions and he answered with such enthusiasm and charisma they never stopped asking. We had a wonderful time would recommend for families and for anyone that wants to not only see the sights but get all the extra trivia and facts that come with touring with a great guide!

My husband and I have used Yellow Moon Tours for sightseeing tours, and they are simply superb at that. I had no idea that they also did airport pickup and transfer until I called them for a recommendation for a company that would do so. To say I was pleased to find out that they provided that service is an understatement. I was able to arrange the nighttime transfer of my pregnant niece and young family (her, husband, and toddler) from Heathrow to Bournemouth. To have a reliable company provide this service at any time would be great. At this time (December) when Omnicron variant was rampant, being able to spare them a long train ride with transfers, a baby seat, and several suitcases was wonderful.
According to my niece and her husband everything went like clockwork. The company representative Rowan worked out all the details, initially with me and then the fine points with her. He promptly responded to any emails and had infinite patience with all our questions about masking and car type. All of these matters were important because her toddler is unvaccinated.
The meet and greet at Heathrow went smoothly. The driver, Steve, carefully drove them right to the door of their destination. As requested, and as I recall was Yellow Moon's policy, Steve wore a mask too. He was very pleasant and also helped my niece's husband with the luggage. They were absolutely amazed at all the help they received from him at both points of the journey. Steve had driven my husband and me on our sightseeing trips and I had specifically requested him as the driver for my niece's family. He is an expert, experienced and careful driver and those are exactly the qualities we wanted for our precious family members.

Every time I come to London with someone who has never been here, I book a 4-6 hour tour of the highlights at the beginning of the trip to help them acclimate to all London has to offer as a gift. It’s such a great city with an amazing amount of history, culture and charm.
Larry was our guide on this booking and he set the bar to new heights going forward!
Using his wit and wonderful British humor, my family was thoroughly entertained, informed and enthralled by insightful antidotes that gave my guests a whole different impression of London than if they had tried to do it on their own. One guest even said, “I think I could live here!” afterwards because Larry made the city approachable and easy to navigate. Our driver Andy certainly helped with the later as he put the key landmarks on our tour just steps away at each stop.
I ask my hotel concierge to book this company each trip. We had such a great experience, we booked another tour to Stonehenge the following day with driver Steve and Blue Badge Guide Rosemary which was another memorable bucket list excursion.
My guests will never forget the tours and I will always be grateful for Larry, Andy, Steve and Rosemary’s time during the festive Holiday season!

I had heard about YMT from a travel writer I’m friendly with in the states. If he was recommending YMT, I was going to give it a try. YMT did not disappoint. In fact, it made the entire vacation better. On the morning of the tour, my wife, three kids, and I were picked up by Joe - the tour guide, and his driver. Joe could not have been more friendly, more knowledgeable or more professional. He must have given this tour hundreds of times - but he came off as interested, excited to be showing us around London, giving us history and current events, and tailoring the tour on the go to when he thought my kids would find something more interesting. Think about the kind of professional you have to be in order to custom tailor a tour WHILE YOURE ON THE TOUR, because something one our kids said sparked an idea. There is no question that when I come back to London, I will book YMT and ask for Joe. I cannot recommend YMT and Joe enough and I’m just so thankful we were able to experience London under their guidance. Joe even stayed past the allotted time to make sure we knew how to take the tube!!!

Sorry to be so slow. I am only lately really getting into Trip Advisor. We tend to hire a private guide. In our younger years we would take group tours but found that we frequently wound up spending time in places we had no interest in. A private guide is expensive but one can tailor the trip to one's personal interests.
You've probably already been to London. I apologize for my tardiness.

Yes - depending on the sites we can usually bipass the lines, organise fast track tickets or obtain special access. This is not the case for every single site however - some places we would visit at the quietest time of day. The best thing to do is reach out by email for more details and we can help tailor make a tour for you. :)

Not cheap, billed in pounds sterling (no symbol on my keybroad), and I didn't even look to see how much the total was in $ (minus 1/2 because we shared it with my brother and his wife), but you are buying a concentrate--after reading much advise about seeing London, I concluded that if we stayed there a week on our own we would not see and hear all that we would in 2 days with a guide and driver--he gushed information constantly and enthusiastically--which was also worth a lot!

Hi looking to book for 2 adults and child during June 9- 12 or so. Want a couple of London highlights. I was born in Kenton and we have been to London many times but our family lives out toward stanmore and harrow. Also looking to explore Wimdsor castle, Stonehenge Cotswolds and perhaps Dover.
