Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went to watch a show. The theatre was full of artificial smoke which didn't go down well with a large number of the elderly customers.
We sat in Row K and throughout there was a cold draft blowing - it was not the aircon. When raised with an usher at the interval his answer was yes, some other people had been complaining. But nothing got done!

ELO Encounter , Brilliant , great musicians , enjoyed everything about the show a great second to the original band , only we could actually see them on stage instead of them being miles away like at the O2 !!

Great local theatre with some great shows, Be it Tribute bands, Dancing, Talks or the annual pantomime. There's something on for everyone and on your doorstep. Always a great night either as a couple or with friends.

Lovely night out Enjoyed by my friend and myself. It was music all the way through with slight banter. Wondered how it would’ve adapted for a local venue. Much better than I expected. Worked well

I came here recently to see the Motown special and it was great- such an intimate theatre that even if you're sat way at the back, you still feel close to the stage. Heading there again next month to see Naturally Seven live!

Been here twice to see tribute bands. This is not a huge theatre but offers a good local atmosphere. Food and snacks are available. It is near several bus routes but parking on site is limited. We enjoyed both our visits

A large group of us went to see this exceptionally talented, yet strangely not well known, American vocal group. They are so professional and had the audience in the palm of their hand from the outset. They are touring the UK for the next couple of weeks so catch them if you can. I saw Naturally Seven at Ronnie Scott’s a few years ago for a lot more money, but have to say it was more enjoyable to see them at the Millfield. I had not been to the Millfield for a long time, but if they continue to attract similar calibre classy performances, there will be no need to trek up to Soho. Well done Millfield for bringing such quality performers to North London; with a ticket price of £24, comfy seats with great view of the stage and excellent acoustics. We all had a wonderful evening. The bar area is good for meeting up with friends too. Only slight snag can be insufficient parking, especially as it is nowhere near a train or tube station.

Visited with students to watch 'Beauty and the Beast' pantomime. It was very entertaining and the audience, mainly children and young people loved it. As always, lots of jokes especially for the adults. They even managed a Brexit joke. Staff are very warm and helpful. Really enjoyed it. Back in February for 'Motown'. Such a great local theatre. Who needs the West End?

After a very disappointing lunch in house the theatre was an improvement. This is a small theatre with good views of the stage for adults. Children do not fare so well as the seats are not staggered and unless they sit at an angle for the duration of the performance all they will see is the head of the person in front of them. The smallest I took with me had a particular problem and he is a short 9 year old (read "7-8" but don't tell him!)
There is no orchestra pit so all music is prerecorded.
We watched and listened to Tchaikovsky's Sleeping Beauty. We also listened to many less disciplined children talking, rustling sweet wrappers, crunching pop corn bags and generally disturbing those around them. Unfortunately the theatre sells pop corn etc. which only encourages the disruptions. It should not be necessary but an announcement needs to be made to tell the audience to keep quiet.
There is limited free parking on site and a bus stop right outside. The buses pass the nearest railway station, Silver Street, en route or the station is just over a half mile walk.
