Rob Smith gave a really interesting tour with stories of spies and key buildings. He was very knowledgeable and told the story well. 2 hours just flew by as he guided us expertly from St James underground, through Green Park and past key points of interest. We had a great time. Thanks Rob.

Attended this walk on a windy sunday morning despite that it was a most wonderful couple of hours expertly guided by Andrew. I had visited Poplar before but Andrews knowledge of Housing history brought the area to life. Recommended for anyone interested in the subject

Rob Smith's tour around the now almost vanished East India dock area was a veritable trip back in time to the days when the Thames was almost gridlocked with tall sailing ships setting out to and returning from the Spice Islands and beyond laden with exotic cargoes. Rob's in-depth knowledge of the area and his effective use of illustrations helped... More

I've now been on 3 walks led by Rob Smith. Each one was excellent. Rob clearly does a lot of research and gives both a historic overview as well as interesting little stories. I've discovered a lot about places I thought I knew inside out. Looking forward to more soon.

This is why I go on walks - to explore areas in London and uncover sights that I would not have come across on my own. Michael Duncan, a resident of Pimlico guided us on a walk in his very own neighbourhood. He was both passionate, and knowledgeable as he showed us: not one but TWO art galleries, an amazing... More

I've very recently discovered Footprints of London. What a find. On a whim I joined Marilyn Greene's tour of Highgate with the angle being on housing and architecture. It was such a treat to be shown so many interesting buildings and to be told the history behind each one from the iconic, cultural and quirky. With Marilyn's knowledgable and expert... More

in London dock lands was excellent. The guide, Rob Smith, framed the walk around key scenes from the film but wove into it recent social and political history and the redevelopment of London Docklands. Although the area is one I know very well, the flow of the story told made for a very interesting walk.

Really interesting walk with Stephen! When you go shopping in Oxford street, you don't really pay attention to the amazing buildings that sorround you. After this walk, we are more conscious about the history behind those buildings and those that made London the city it is today. We really recommend this walk, and Stephen that has been an adorable guide.... More

Neil was informative and entertaining and gave us an insight into the alleyways around St. Paul's and Fleet Street that we never could have imagined. Highly recommended for anyone with an interest in the history of an area which had such an influence which is felt to today.

We had a fascinating afternoon with Mark Rowland in the City of London, He's a great story teller, and for two hours entertained us non-stop with tales of people that made the City of London the place it is today. He has a wonderful memory for all the interesting details, and brings the people he talks about to life, whether... More
