Came here for an after party and had a really great time. We had free entry and queue jump privileges having been singing at the Brazen Monkey earlier in the night, which made things really easy from the go. The staff were wonderful and made sure we were well looked after. Surprisingly reasonably priced drinks considering the location too. Great... More

If there's a sign on the bar advertising 4.50 for doubles then you'd expect them to be 4.50 right. Got charged 4.50 first time round fair, went up a second time and was now told it would be 11.50 because I didn't have a student wristband. No where on the paper did it say students only and I was told... More

Although this venue is a night club, and set over the many floors, it operates during the day with pub food and drinks. Thank goodness it does, We had walked miles all around London and had got Leicester Square needing the loo and a drink. Every where we looked was totally rammed or had no toilets, Literally at the Top... More

Hi guy1w, Thanks for getting in touch and feeding back about your visit. Our main ground-floor bar opens from 11am daily and as you've mentioned, we serve teas, coffees plus other drinks and lunch. We've only started this fairly recently, in order for us to offer a more relaxed bar space, in comparison to the evening club areas which are... More

Having been charmed by the friendly street rep, we headed along. Huge regret as soon as we got in. Intimidating security staff everywhere in high vis makes you whats about to go down... Terrible pints in plastic glasses, disgusting toilets and no toilet paper, sick everywhere. We were there for 15 minutes before deciding to leave and asked for our... More

Hi Wnysmat, Thanks for touching base with your comments. By law, our security wear high vis jackets. This isn't designed to be intimidating; It's actually in place so guests can quickly identify security if and when they need assistance. If you can imagine a circumstance where someone required urgent medical attention (allergic reaction, Asthma attack, underlying medical condition etc) and... More

I celebrated my most recent birthday at Piccadilly Institute and it certainly didn't fail to disappoint. One of the best nights I have had in a very long time and it was faultless from start to finish. Would definitely recommend a night out here to anyone.

I've been here a few times since the change in management and it's definitely the place to go in central. Decent decor inside with a variety of rooms, genres and bars. Really friendly staff from the front door to the back bar, management are also very helpful. It's never a bad idea to book a table or area if there's... More

Staying in St. James's

Neighbourhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
