    Amazing time. Great fun
6 of us experienced escape rooms for the first time. We had an amazing time. It was nothing like we had encountered before. You certainly have to think outside the box. We were grateful to Agent Rowen for providing us with subtle enough clues to make the whole experience enjoyable.

    Revenge of the Sheep result!
As a family we have been to quite a few escape rooms but this was definitely the best. The props were great and included some innovative IT to help solve the case. We were all over the place to begin with and wasted a lot of time in the ante-room but managed to escape (ok I admit it!) just a few minutes over the alloted 60 mins. The clues are all there but we definitely welcomed the subtle guidance from Rowen to keep us on the right track. A very enjoyable afternoon and will return when next in London.

    Amazing time here!
Great experience!! We came today with a group of French kids and we had so much fun! Everybody was so welcoming and the instructions were clear, even for non-good English speakers the activity was doable. Thank you very much! I hope we’ll have the chance to come back.

Amazing fun with different levels for everyone!
Very fun and interestingly challenging rooms. Smartly done, kids 9&13 all had a great time and have been coming back to complete every level. You get a free magnet if you come on your bday too! Staff is engaging and nice. Thanks Ez & Erik!

    Great family fun!
Went with my brother and my nephews (10 and 12). Two of the rooms had been designed for age 9+ and it was perfectly gauges to make it extremely engaging and challenging. Nadia who was our assigned staff “agent handler” kept it all brilliantly in theme and it was so much fun. It was really well set out and it’s close to King’s Cross so easy walk for the boys too. Thank you so much and looking forward to playing the sequel when we get more time together. Richard

We enjoyed this as much as we hoped we would!
As I have always wanted to try an escape room my wife suggested I get a team together as part of a birthday gift. 3 of us had never tried one before and 2 had some experience. Although we didn’t know what to expect it was all the fun I hoped it would be. The solutions to move through were logical with hindsight but with time ticking, and errors being made, our guide (or more accurately our Intel Agent), Nel would communicate over our walkie talkie keeping us focused and ensuring we didn’t abandon a puzzle solution because we had made a minor mistake somewhere, she also “hacked” our room timer to buy us a few more minutes, allowing us to escape, just. We all had a great day and I really appreciated how Nel nudged us towards solutions without spoiling the puzzles and gifted us those few extra minutes that allowed us to beat our room, leaving with a feeling of flustered triumph {Thanks Nel). The whole team have already all agreed that we will be going back soon to attempt a different room.

Complete Escapism in more ways that one (literally)!
Our first time ‘escaping’ from an escape room, so of course we went for the difficult CQ Origenes (we like challenges). Our agent handler Rowen really immersed herself in her role, explaining our mission (should we choose to accept it) clearly and convincingly, we were as deeply involved as her after the brief! We had a walkie talkie and a screen with incoming ‘intel’. Rowen pitched her guidance perfectly, not giving anything away but nudging (not telling) us in the right direction if needed. We were a group of four, we were all involved and all contributed to our mission, we all noticed different clues and worked together to work them out. The puzzles (in hindsight) are completely logical, no calculators required and as Rowan said don’t waste your time with your phone, Google won’t help you, she was right, it wouldn’t of done. It is a completely immersive and enjoyable experience, which I would highly recommend. Complete escapism (literally) for 1 1/2 hours and an experience we will most definitely do again. We’ll be back, it was absolutely brilliant! Thank you Rowan! Ps. Brilliant location, right by Kings Cross Station or bus 17, 91 or 259 towards Crouch End, Lower Edmonton or Archway - so easy to get to.

    Great experience
Best escape room we’ve ever visited? Why? Really only a few reasons: 1. Alex (our host). He was totally wonderful and highly engaged. His enthusiasm really drew in our kids. He made all the difference. 2. The room and the space - escape rooms can be of mixed quality sometimes, but this one was nice, everything functioning well, creative, good storyline. Quite well done. 3. The level of assistance (by Alex) was dialed up or down to what we needed. It was great. Helped us get a feeling of accomplishment by helping just the right amount. Overall a great experience. We will be back!

My partner and I went to Cluequest last Friday. We had an amazing time thanks to Georges / Georgos. He made the experience very much worth it for us. Would highly recommend and will be coming back with family to do a different escape room.

I booked this game expecting a fairly easy experience owing to the family friendly theme and that it’s advertised as appealing to newcomers and experts alike, but was pleasantly surprised.

PLAN52 posed an appreciable challenge, and although we made it out with some time to spare, we were certainly confounded by some of the puzzles, which we couldn’t have solved without hints. The theming and decoration in the room was colourful and zany, which showed the effort they put into the immersion. The unique way you can communicate with the game master was also a plus, as they’re able to clear up any doubts mainly arising due to misinterpretation of visual cues. I also appreciated that the numerical locks allowed unlimited attempts, and their colour clearly indicated wrong or right attempts. Even the lobby at the location was well decked out in theme-appropriate props and decor, which was nice to see. It also made us more comfortable that the staff were wearing face masks. Shout out to our friendly game master Vovana who made our experience fun from beginning to end, and her theatrics did a great job in engaging us with the story.

I think the only issue we experienced was with one of the “digital” puzzles which didn’t acknowledge that we’d obtained all the right pieces and hence didn’t automatically start, which required the game master’s intervention.

Overall, I would definitely recommend clueQuest, and certainly to those who haven’t played before as I think the Blacksheep series would be a great started for those without prior experience.

I visited clueQuest twice, once in 2014 to do plan52 and again in 2017 to do Operation Blacksheep. I loved both experiences and have nothing but good things to say about their escape rooms. They especially do a fantastic job with puzzle flow, leading one puzzle to the next.

But what I really want to call out is the exceptional customer service I received this month from them.

My visit to clueQuest in 2014 was with my friends Louis and Dan, and it was all of our first escape rooms. Louis and I fell in love with the escape room concept immediately. I've done over 160 rooms since then, 35 of them with Louis.

Tragically, Louis passed away from cancer at the age of 45 this month. Some of us are putting together a book of memories where we recount stories about our friend. Our first visit to clueQuest was a hilarious adventure (I'll spare you the details) and so I wanted to include it in the book along with the picture of us that clueQuest took at the conclusion of the escape room. However, the link they had emailed me for the picture no longer worked--not surprising given it was 7 years ago and they have physically moved locations a couple of times since then.

I emailed clueQuest and told them what I was trying to do and asked if they had the picture. Jonnie at clueQuest emailed me back and said while they didn't have it readily available, their IT department was going to look for it. Several days later, Jonnie emailed me again just to let me know they hadn't forgotten about me and were still searching. Today, Jonnie emailed me and let me know that they had found it and sent me the pictures from the day. I've included our 2014 picture in this review as well as our 2017 picture.

The IT department probably had to dig up some old hard drive from storage that nobody has used for years to find my picture. I haven't been a customer of this company for 4 years, but they took the time and effort to do this for me to help honor my late friend's memory. This is a company that deserves your money. Once we're all vaccinated and life returns to normal, please grab your closest friends or family members and go enjoy this fabulous experience. You don't know how long you have to make memories together.

Really enjoyed our puzzle experience today at ClueQuest. We went as a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children aged 13 and 8) and everybody had a fabulous time solving Operation Blacksheep. We all felt fully involved in the quest and all had our part to play cracking the variety of different challenges. Our agent helper, Jonnie was friendly, welcoming and made the experience all the more enjoyable as, when we needed occasional guidance, he would be watching from another room and guide us in the correct direction with a clue (not too obvious either - you still had to think a little) which would come through a walkie talkie + placed on a countdown timer screen in the room/s. The excitement and thrill really got going at the end as we managed to solve and escape with just 50 secs to spare!
Booking was easy and customer service/email confirmation details clear and informative. All staff are friendly and enthusiastic and the place has all Covid precautions in place - masks available to wear (if you forget to bring your own) in waiting areas and sanitizing stations in place too. Staff also wear PPE and the rooms are cleaned after each experience. Masks do not have to be worn in the actual escape room/s if you so wish.
A great afternoon out, would highly recommend and we definitely will be back to try another room in the future.

We firstly need to thank Andy for being absolutely fabulous, for making time for us, despite us being late to get to our room! (the worst kind of customers in a GM's world!!) He did an amazing job of welcoming us and getting us emerged into the world of Mr Q and Professor BlackSheep, before briefing us on how to ask for help and how we would receive our clues. And took the time to store our big bags for us, whilst we played the game - great customer service.
We had chosen Revenge of the Sheep and knew it would be a big task, for just two players. But we were willing to see if we could complete the Quest!
The props in the room were well made, with lovely attention to detail, durability and usability in mind. There was a good mix of traditional padlocks and some great use of tech, which made us feel like we were on a secret mission to save the world. I particularly liked one of the main puzzles, which kept revealing more and more secrets to us, as the game went on. The themeing was great, not only in the room, but in the lobby area too, with lovely artwork of all the characters found in Mr Q's world. Andy did an amazing job of hosting our room, with some subtle hints, at just the right moments, before we got too frustrated or frazzled by any sticking points. I loved the pace of the game, and we felt like we were progressing, even if we did take some time thinking through one or two areas. We managed to escape (with a few extra minutes gracefully given to us) and were thrilled to get to the end of the adventure. The finale was very colourful and we both cheered when we had finally defeated evil Professor BlackSheep.
A great varied room, lots of fun with great puzzles and a good solid challenge for 2 players. We will be back to try the other rooms and to complete the story. . . .
Thanks for a fab hours worth of puzzling :)

The staff are really what make the experience more enjoyable, we had Jonni taking care of our group when we went, he was very animated and in character from the get go. The game itself was really interactive and fun - had some funny quirks that really added to the enjoyment. Since it was my birthday we got a little fridge magnet with our picture at the end which was a really nice souvenir for us to take home. Would definitely recommend to others! Would say our group of 4 was a really good number since we all had things to do but we were able to communicate well whenever clues were found :)

We did the Plan52 room, and it was really fantastic - we've done a few escape rooms and our younger cousin had never done one before, but we all enjoyed it as much as each other. The puzzles and solutions were so clever, and we managed to solve it with about 34 seconds to go! Jonnie walked us through it and was on the other end of the walkie talkie, he was amazing, so funny and really set the story up for us - gave us hints that still made us feel we were working it out for ourselves. The fridge magnets and photo with frame are such lovely quality as well, definitely worth getting as a lovely memento of the day!

In terms of COVID, everything was great. All the staff are wearing masks, and everything in the escape rooms is sanitized after every use - things that can't be sanitized (like books) are replaced and quarantined for a week before they're reintroduced to the rooms. Also it was really nice that they have a 'Back to Reality' button that lets you nip out of the room to go to the toilet or anything else you might need to deal with, so you aren't literally stuck in the room for 60 minutes like you are with a lot of escape rooms.

Will definitely be going back to do the next three games! Thanks so much for a fantastic experience!

I have now been four times to clueQuest (twice with family and friends and twice with work colleagues). I have been to others escape rooms but the quality of the puzzles and the experience with the staff cannot be compared.

Rather than just throw you in a room, you are given a simple but effective storyline that makes it feel more like a mission. The puzzles themselves relate to the storyline and you will be given cryptic clues by your agent handler should you need a nudge in the right direction. This and a visual clock counting down gives the experience a sense of urgency which adds to the excitement. Everyone in your team has a part to play - where they can choose to be collaborative or work on a particular puzzle themselves. Either way they feel part of the experience.

A special thank you to Hannah (our agent handler) who made us feel so welcome. She explained that when they reset each room, they make sure everything is cleaned thoroughly before the next team enters. The team had a good level of precaution for Covid-19 which was reassuring and did not detract from the experience.

My team at work were looking for a different and fun team building activity and ClueQuest didn't disappoint. From the moment the team arrived they felt looked after and Agents Far, Laurel and Josiah did a great job of explaining the missions and keeping them on their toes. It was great to get photos and fridge magnets as a souvenir of their evening. The whole office is now buzzing with interest in Escape Rooms and you will definitely have some return customers. Thanks again for a great evening.

We have done Escape Rooms here in person, so we thought we would try an online Escape Room for my son's 12th Birthday. We had Alex from clueQuest as our zoom host and the experience was absolutely brilliant as he took my son and his friends through the timeQuest adventure. I can't recommend this highly enough and the way the printed materials worked with the online part of this was, quite simply ingenious.

ClueQuest heralds a new era of escape rooms, better, more intellectually stimulating and more challenging than ever before seen. It is the protagonist of a tale of thrills, woe, anguish and finally, celebration as our group of agents managed to vanquish the vicious Professor Black Sheep, saving this good planet and its citizenry from the eternal suffering of being transmuted into vile, fur-covered farm-animals. Now the onus is on you, dear reader, to take up our mantel and finally ascend to your true calling; step up to protect all that is sacred and dear, as you face off against the sinister Black Sheep, who plots and schemes to realise his bovine-nightmare.
