Played for years in Northampton and Milton Keynes with no issue - VIP Gold membership, manager’s direct contact, free meals, presents on my birthday, great relationship with the staff. Relocated to London and played in Stratford for a couple of months, and conveniently after winning a few thousand £ found myself banned with no explanation. 8 years later now I’ve qualified for a third party event that unfortunately the next stage is being held at this venue and all I get is a copy and paste response that they can ban you at any time for life with no explanation. Even threatening to arrest me for trespass if I attempt to enter! One manager says email head office to find out the reason, next one says we don’t have to tell you. Stunned is an understatement. Feel free to go and spend money but be very careful not to win anything at Aspers Westfield!!

Nasty staff, nasty machines, just NASTY! Staff follows you (and everyone) like a hawk pestering you about having a small bag (while other guests tote around multiple bags each)- particularly the black man with the beard. They also talk about people on the radios in front of everyone (like the man at the coffee machine in the red jacket that they felt they needed to have a discussion about at the roulette table). Roxanne at the cash desk might be one of the nastiest people I’ve ever encountered and all but threw the money on the counter. I guess they get upset when they finally have to pay out. Stay away from this disgusting place!

Aspers Manager Ugo, wow!!! this person should be reviewed closely. Impolite, intimating and arrogant. How anyone would except his personality in a customer facing position.
Our visit to Aspers in London hadn’t been the experience we had envisioned. To be honest, I was upset with the manner we engaged into this confrontation with him, I understand Cctv will demonstrate Aspers managers ‘UGO’ aggressive behaviour. In hindsight his rude character was obviously on show to start with.

Aspers security manager Ugo. Tried to get into Aspers with my girlfriend and was told by security my girlfriend was fine and I was not allowed for being too drunk when we both had not even been drinking. The other customers also waiting before us found this ridiculous as they could clearly see we were both sober and asked to speak to the doorman’s manager for us before we even got the chance to.
Upon arrival of the manager he spoke to the customers before us and they again illustrated they should let us in without us even asking. We then met Hugo who judged myself to be fine but my girlfriend intoxicated and didn’t even give us the chance to speak. He spoke to us in such an aggressive and judgmental tone. I immediately started looking for his badge and found Ugo. When he finished his intimating and rude speech I said he was incorrect and would be complaining. No customers should have to deal with that attitude and manner and he should be looked at.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We are very sorry to hear that you were unhappy after you and your girlfriend were refused entry to our casino. As a casino, we operate under very strict regulations and our licensed security staff have a moral and legal obligation to not allow entry to the casino to anyone they believe are intoxicated. There isn’t a test we can or have to conduct to make this decision, and it remains subjective and in the view of the door staff at that time. I understand this was not the way you envisaged your evening to end, but hope you can understand the reasoning behind it. We have also noted your comments regarding the way you were spoken to by our security officer, and passed this on to the team.

First visit tonight for my partners 48th birthday to meet a large group of friends who were already in casino. Refused entry as my partners driving licence was several months out of date. The ‘bouncer’ on duty on 9th September could clearly see my partner was old enough to gamble and wouldn’t accept that credit card was further proof of ID and would only accept passport as alternative form of ID. Why should we have to carry passports round with us in our own country ? Whilst I appreciate that casinos needs to check that people are old enough to gamble, refusal of entry was ridiculous as it meant whole party then left casino.. Business lunacy at a time when the hospitality industry is suffering. Can someone from Aspers please let me know if they think this is good business policy to be so inflexible? Would they have broken any laws by using common sense and discretion ?

Hi Keith, Firstly I would like to apologise for the impact this situation had on your evening when out celebrating.
I completely understand that your partner was of the required age to gain entry but unfortunately, we don’t have any flexibility when it comes to ID requirements. As part of our license conditions all guests must either produce a membership or a valid photo identification which in turn is placed through the ID scanner at the entry. This is an operational requirement.
I hope this explains the situation and once again my sorry if this had a negative impact on your evening.

Absolutely delightful place.
The staff were friendly and helpful and mindful of the customers, I was not prepared for such a wonderful experience. They are totally disabled friendly with access for all. They have charging points for phones under lock and key. An outdoor balcony and a poker room. A cozy bar with some pub/bar food. Plus a more formal restaurant and chill out room. Place to just relax highly recommend this place.

Avoid at all costs if you are not white. I don't normally give reviews but literally this place cross the line. The systematic racism is strong at this branch considering Stratford is the most diverse places around. Been going to this place a few times and it's always been a bad experience considering I am literally a chill person. If you are of any other culture you simply will get refused at the bar and security are quick to escorts the non whites out. Not worth the time.

PLEASE DON'T GO. Last time we won £8K (2.5K was my own money) and they didn't allow me to take our pay out (Didn't even allow me to take my own money that I exchange from the first place). Took all our chips and then 2 weeks later eventually allowed us to take our money. The moment you start winning, you will get non stop harass by their stuffs, non stop asking questions why are you wining or income or what job do you do. They claimed is for AML purposed but it didn't seem was an issue until you started winning. Their attitude is like HOW COULD YOU WIN from us. Come on, as a casino don't be so cheap about only few thousands of winning.

The staff again in tanzibar were unaware that I had booked a table, and wasn’t in anyway enthusiastic in their work.
The food, if you call it that was aunt bessies/fray bentos! The chicken was t cooked, there was blood in it - we sent that back. Pud was good. Paying the bill was a mission, take them at least 15 mins to present us with a bill each.
When we asked for help at the gambling machines the initial staff member was very arrogant and not helpful

Your croupiers are grossly inexperienced. I am a seasoned roulette player I play up and down this country and I can safely say that your roulette croupiers do not have a clue of how to hand out pay outs. The spin times are ridiculous, they all need to be retrained bar the very odd exception. You do not have enough tables open for customers, people lean over you, knock over your chips not an enjoyable evening at all.
Much more superior casino chains out there I visit them regularly!! You won’t have my custom again, very tatty and rough casino.
Bar staff are adequate but you do not staff your bar with enough of them so the wait times for drinks is also ridiculous.
The competition have left you way behind.

Well, what else would you expect from a micky-mouse casino operating in the east end of London? Unless you want to stand next to a junkie at tables, I would suggest that you should go to proper casino, e.g., Central London. Aspers Stratford thinks they've got a monopoly being the first open the east end. Time for them (the managers and staff) to get off their high horse.
