Wilson’s made a dream come true to see Chatsworth and more. Great service , driver and experience. Was a highlight in our trip!

We had the most incredible day with Vanessa, our tour guide, and Lee, our driver. My husband and I had one full day to take in as much of London as possible. We had emailed Oliver a long list of what we hoped to see. Promptly at 8am, Vanessa and Lee arrived at our hotel. Vanessa asked a few questions and then proceeded to tailor her tour to us. I love hearing about the royals and as we drove from place to place Vanessa’s wealth of knowledge was tailored to history and the royals. We had tickets to tour Buckingham Palace and Windsor, a great surprise. Lee was an expert at navigating the London traffic and the ride was very comfortable. We saw most of my list and I was thrilled. I would give them ten stars if I could.

Not happy with the service we received from Oliver Wilson Tours. Received transportation with only scant information from our guide.

Dear Madam,
I must stress that my staff and I are passionate about the high degree of customer service we deliver each and every day . I never forget what a privilege it is for me to show visitors the very best our country has to offer. With all that in mind you can imagine how upset I am to read your recent review.
You stated in your review that it was purely transportation…respectfully I beg to differ.
In preparation for your time with us I spent many hours planning your trip in advance with your party leader. On our first day I personally toured you around Leeds Castle, Dover Castle, Canterbury and the Cathedral . The following days Hampton Court, Windsor Castle, Oxford University & City and the Cotswolds. Incidentally, I recommended and on occasion booked your hotels and your lunch and dinner reservations.
I was with you each and every day, talking and guiding your party around the sights you requested to visit. On several occasions going way beyond the normal duties of a tour guide.
Your last day was a simple transfer to Highclere Castle and then on to the railway station in London. No guides are permitted inside Highclere. I informed you all of this beforehand. We all left as friends or so I thought , with you all telling me how much you enjoyed your time with us. Consequently, I am at a complete loss to read your review.

We booked with MyUK tours for a day trip to Dover and Canterbury who must have subcontracted to Mr Wilson. I emailed Andrew Willis from UK tours to express our disappointment and never heard back. Mr Wilson must be much more interested in the rich and wealthy because he treated us with disdain and disinterest. The tour to Dover and Canterbury did not meet the description. We missed the tunnels because of crowds. I would think a tour guide would know to go there first. His tour of the castle amounted to turning us loose and saying he would meet us in Canterbury. He offended my wife and teased my children. We never ate at a local tavern as advertised, but fended for ourselves at the white cliffs which mr wilson seemed to not want to visit. And later at Canterbury when we asked about a visit to St Martins in lieu of Leeds as originally agreed with UK tours, we were
told it was out of the way and by a prison? . I paid 2000 usd.To be clear, we used several other private guides in UK who were excellent. Not so here. Tour was not as described and the care was atrocious. Stay away. Far too many other guides who will give you excellent care.

I have reported your post to Trip Advisor as a malicious review.
I never forget what an absolute privilege it is to tour my highly valued clients around our wonderful country. Customer service is an absolute passion of mine. I cannot for one moment understand your motives for writing such a review.
Suffice to say the day was not as you described and to be accused of being anything other than respectful, kind and considerate to your and your family is slanderous and deeply damaging to my business and personal reputation .

We had booked a custom tour while we’re were docked at Tilbury. The driver, Martin, patiently waited for us as we cleared customs. Martin picked us up in an immaculate Mercedes van and we were off on our adventure. We saw everything we wanted to see and the team had even made arrangements for us to see one very unique site. As we are getting older, we will consider hiring their services for any future tours of the United Kingdom.

I had the most extraordinary experience with Oliver Wilson as our tour guide in London. From the very beginning, the service was exceptional. Martin greeted us at London Heathrow airport, dressed impeccably as an English gentleman. His politeness and engaging conversation made the journey to our hotel a delight.
The following day, Roy picked us up in a stylish Range Rover that exuded comfort. Not only was the vehicle luxurious, but Roy himself was absolutely fabulous. His sense of humor added an extra layer of enjoyment to our day.
And then there was Oliver, the epitome of charm and sophistication. As soon as we met him, it felt as if we were in the presence of a modern-day Richard Burton. Oliver's vast knowledge and captivating storytelling made every moment with him truly unforgettable.
It's no wonder that this tour company has thrived for over 60 years. Oliver and his team provided us with an unparalleled wealth of information and took us to all the sites we were most eager to see. It felt as though we had VIP passes, we didn't wait a single moment for anything.
Oliver's expertise in London was remarkable. He guided us to the places where even the late Queen herself shopped, giving us an exclusive insider's view of the city. It was an experience beyond comparison.
I cannot emphasize enough how highly I recommend this company. To truly make the most of your time in London, there is no better choice than Oliver Wilson and his exceptional team. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

This was our 2nd time using Wilson's and we were just as pleased as before. Our driver Roy and host Oliver Wilson provided exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable, and luxurious service and were eager to customize our experience to our exact specifications. For the price charged, we believe that for a completely personalized, luxury, and efficient tour of London and the surrounding areas, this is an excellent value. We will definitely use them again and highly recommend them to others.

My husband and I used Wilson's on 3 days of our UK trip and it was one of the best decisions we'd made. We'd originally booked over a year before, but due to Covid, had to wait a year for this trip. First, we did the magical Downton Abbey tour, including the Cotswolds and many of the locations from the show. We were picked up at our B&B in Oxford and saw everything we'd wanted. The Land Rover Discovery was roomy, comfortable and offered exceptional visibility.
Although we'd rented a car, we saw so much more than ever we could have done on our own and as Americans, not having to drive was a godsend! Two days later, we did a half-day tour of London and then had them take us to the airport on our last day. Roy was always prompt, courteous and such a gentleman. He went above and beyond in hunting us down at Heathrow when we were late and in the wrong place. He even showed us additional sights on the way back to the airport.
Oliver and Roy were always responsive, professional, reliable and thoroughly delightful. I can't imagine a better experience. I hope to bring my daughter to London and will definitely tour with Wilson's again!

My husband found Wilson Tours through reviews while planning our London trip. We spent 2.5 days with Oliver and driver, Roy. Amazing time! Fun, informative, always on time, and comfortable vehicle. One day was a complete ad hoc trip in search of my ancestors in Leigh on Sea. The effort they put into that day to assist us was above and beyond. I hope we make it back, and will definitely use them again!

We spent a wonderful 3 days with Oliver Wilson Tours.
TOURS:
The Grand London Tour
Stonehenge, Royal Windsor, and Bath
Oxford and Cambridge (We decided to spend the entire day at Oxford)
Oliver was highly responsive via emails and modified our 3 tours according to the interests of our three older boys. My wife and I had been to London before, but this was a new experience for the boys. We had a family of 5 and were driven quite comfortably in their larger vehicles. All of our tour guides and drivers were courteous and professional. We were promptly picked up from our hotel as scheduled and dropped off at our hotel. True to their word, our tickets were prearranged and we did not have to wait in any line (except for the mandatory museum security checkpoints). We had the opportunity to have two of our tours guided by Oliver, himself, who was quite informative and entertaining. Our drivers (especially Keith) were quite themselves knowledgeable about London. There were many memorable experiences during out tours (punting in Oxford, chance meeting with scouts from the UK as all our boys are in Scouts BSA, great restaurants, British Museum, etc). We would gladly book future tours with Oliver Wilson should we be back in the area.

I would like to ask questions to the previous users of the Wilson’s day tour.
Did you give 10-15% tips of total cost to each of driver and guide since there are separate people?
Or you gave 10-15% tips that they will split between themselves.
I am trying to estimate the cost of hiring a private day tour since the cost doesn’t include tips and entrance fee.
Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, I can't realistically answer, because our trip planner included everything in the package, to our knowledge, so any tips would have been included in our total trip price. Sorry that I cannot be more help.
