The Magic Hour is a unique magic show in the heart of London. Located near Hyde Park, and following sell out runs at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel and Hotel Russell, this 5 star rated show takes places at the historic Grand Royale hotel. The show, performed in an evocative old drawing room, brings to life the illusions of the Victorian masters of magic.

Sonic is a brilliant showman and kept us enthralled for the whole length of his show. Unbelievably clever and still don't know how the magic happened. Superb show for all the family.

Seeing magic performed close up is special, and the setting for Sonic's show makes the whole experience extra special. My family came with me, I'd say this show would suit anyone from about 10 years upwards. Definitely recommend.

A friend recommended for me to go and I've recommended it to most people I've seen since. The whole experience was just fantastic. A few key points to highlight: - Spot on length wise (1h30), with a 15 minute break. - Venue & size of audience: venue (library) was very appropriate. Helped set the scene. Audience size was ideal -... More

We went here for my birthday and it was a very special experience. The venue was at the British Academy near the Mall and was one of the most intimate settings in which I've seen magic before, We didn't have premium seats but could still see everything up close and the sleight of hand was delightful. A kindly homage to... More

We are always please to hear when people have had a great time at our show. We work hard to evoke the right atmosphere and give an experience that is different and personal. You are right about the seating - there are never more than 4 rows, so every gets a good view. We hope to welcome you again. More

Went here tonight with my girlfriend, we were both blown away! Spectacular tricks, funny and complementary pack of playing cards. Defo worth paying extra for premium seating. He also involves the audience in his tricks which is always a bonus.

Really disappointed with this event. Paid £40 each for premium tickets (front row with a tiny mince pie and a programme) for me and my wife for her birthday, expecting to see some good quality close up magic and ended up seeing a really cheesy show of basic magic that you will have seen a thousand times before. Cups and... More

Dear Andy, We are sorry to hear that the show did not meet your expectations, and we never wish our audiences to feel disappointed. Due to a technical fault on the evening you attended, there was no theatrical lighting to accompany the show, which affected some of the routines and resulted in the sound feeling a little out of place.... I am quite surprised by all the great reviews on here. I booked tickets for a friends birthday and while the show was entertaining it didn't blow us away. The magic seemed quite simple, and we could work out how most of the tricks were done...a couple were very impressive. We also were expecting a free drink but never received... More

Thank you for reviewing The Magic Hour. Our previous venue included a cocktail as a special promotion for a period of time. This is not available at our current location, and should have been clear on the ticket and advertising at the time of purchase. Our wine is £6.50 per 250ml glass - and we are supplied by Searcys. We... More

Brilliant, fun and something a bit different! We had a great time and particularly enjoyed the intimacy of the show given the small audience size. Highly recommend!

Had to see this show again, it's so special - this time I took my parents to celebrate a big anniversary, and they loved it! I was so pleased Sonic did some of my favourite tricks again so my parents could enjoy them too - no matter how carefully you look, you just can't work out how it's done. Bravo!

This close-up magic show is unique - really worth experiencing. Fabulous setting, makes you feel good just being there. Hugely entertaining, Sonic the magician held the audience spellbound the whole time. Can't recommend it enough.
