Review of: River Thames Evening Cruise
The boat didn’t turn up. We 100% had the correct time and location as it was confirmed on our ticket before arrival. Nobody answered the phones all day before the cruise or while we were waiting in the dark and cold when it didn’t turn up, or the days after. They apologised are processing a refund and but I had already planned an evening with my boyfriend around it so it ruined our night. Thanks for a lovely evening stuck out on the pier in the cold!…

As this was my first river cruise along the Thames i enjoyed the views as London is rather spectacular at night from the river. It was wonderful to sail under Tower Bridge multiple times, however we went no further up the river than Big Ben which was a shame. The 2 hour cruise was very relaxing and went by very slowly. It was great being on the top deck with no viewing restrictions. Inside the dining area it was really bright and so many tables full of people, social distancing was not enforced and all the tables of 2 are round the edge against the windows, so if you are a larger group of 3+ do not expect a window seat - you will not get one!! Therefore we were sat in the middle of the ship, bright lights everywhere, meaning we could not see the view, and if we could multiple people were sat blocking it. We had to go on to the top deck everytime we wanted a good view or to take photos. The small glass of wine was fine, and the cold canapes were nice enough (i didnt have any but my friends enjoyed them). The staff could have been friendlier and more customer focussed. The singer was good and provided entertainment along the 'boring' stretches of the cruise. In summary it was a nice thing to do as a one off experience, but it is very over-priced, they don't seem to appreciate the custom and i would definitely not use City Cruises again for a cruise - only for hop on/off as its more of a 'posh water bus'.…
