It's a toy store

Of course it's going to be a busy spot but it's worth a look. They have a lot of options & it's a kids dream come true kind of place. I loved the floor dedicated to Star Wars!

It is a fantastic place for children to be at. A huge variety of toys but a painful headache for parents. Staffs are friendly and gives you a very welcoming atmosphere.

This was a great experience for our two boys, who probably would have spent a week here if they could have. Every imaginable toy, including massive displays of their favourites - Lego and Hot Wheels cars, plus slick sales people demonstrating the latest toy crazes. Floor after floor of toy madness, topped off with a cafe full of sugar. Truly... More

We visited and wanted to have a look around but as soon as we stepped in we were struggling to see each other. Once we got into different areas it got a bit better but still very bad. Try to visit in quiet times for the best experience

Large variety of toys, games, gadgets for kids. The staff are enthusiastic, engaging and, aware of what's available and can give you accurate advice. Too busy, kids are overexcited: they want everything! It's overpriced i.e Paddington bear with boots £35 when you can find it for £20 in other shops. When I saw that I just left...

The only way I can deal with Hamleys is first thing in the morning before the crowds get there. It's still as exciting as when I was 9.

I can recall being here when I was 9 years old on a trip to London with my folks. I was mesmerized by all the different toys. I had to go back. Now at age 60 I am still mesmerized. What a WONDERFUL place. There are people doing magic tricks and playing with the toys. Dressed in costume to be... More

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
