    Wow definitely recommend this theatre!
Went last night for spitting image! Had some trouble getting to the venue and arrived late. The staff were so helpful and understanding letting us in and showing us to our seats. The theatre was lovely and you had a good view from wherever you sat. Will be visiting again new favourite London theatre! Spitting image was hilarious too!

Idiots Assemble: Spitting Image The Musical
Was really looking forward to this as seen the TV show. Got there security as always ok - look in bags (just a glance - what’s the point) then to the little bar as you go through the door asked how much tube of crisps - “£4;80” didn’t ask how much the sweets or tub of popcorn was as didn’t have my gold card with me. Theatre was comfortable as many the seats are tired and tight. Show started and the 1st half was excellent …………then the interval…………the second half was appalling !! This seemed that all the story was going well in the first half and they run out of ideas and crammed this into the last bit to conclude. I didn’t mind the jokes, but some bits were over the mark and would offended , but haho It’s Spitting Image and that’s what they do

    Happy Visually Impaired Customer
Actually, I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU! To the lovely gentleman member of staff at the advanced-tickets office; he was exceedingly helpful in signing me up as a visually impaired customer, making it much easier to book concession tickets online, he gave me and my mum (free carer) really good seats for my extremely-limited vision - at a very cheap price, and he was very friendly. Superb customer service, Thank You very much indeed! 👨🏽‍🦯

Nice theatre - amazing show (Stranger Things - First Shadow)
First time at this theatre & was impressed. The staff were helpful and organised. The ladies restroom (circle level) is big and clean- no queues during a packed show. The show "Stranger Things" was absolutely SUPERB. Don't want to give anything away but one of the best shows I have ever seen!! Please keep it running! Standing ovations all round for an exhilarating, imaginative production. Go see!

Amazing show poor service in theatre
Now the show it’s self was superb - one of the best new shows I’ve seen - full of drama and fx . Can’t fault it and it’s a must see for ST fans. The lower score comes for the theatre itself… we ordered food and drinks at seat. Items latent available and asked for those items to be refunded. Three weeks later no refund. Chased theatre, ATG but no refund. Food also arrived just as show started again after half time - would have been quicker and less hassle to get it myself as I had to chase. So great show poor service

Stranger Things - very good show
Went to see Stranger Things. Excellent production, but theatre disappointing. We had a fire alarm go off 15 minutes into the production and there was no announcement or direction from any staff. Nobody knew if the alarm was part of the show. Fire exits were blocked and disabled users were refused exit from their nearest fire exit. We stood outside for 30 minutes - even the fire brigade were accidentally locked out! No updates at all given. When they brought us back in they mixed up the queue signs so the stalls and circle queues were crossing each other’s paths as we entered the building. No explanation or apology given. Not good at all - thankfully not a real fire and nobody hurt. Also too few female toilets - huge queues.

    Stranger Things The First Shadow
Stranger Things The First Shadow was brilliant! One of the best shows I’ve seen. Production, Special Effects, Score, Acting all first class. 100% recommend for fans of ST. Theatre itself a little tired and not much space in bar area however the bar staff were great, friendly and accommodating.

    Stranger Things the First Shadow
Visited London specifically for Stranger Things and wow! Amazing production, on the edge of our seats as massive Stranger Things fans we loved every second of it - huge well done to all the cast and crew! Theatre staff lovely and only downside was lack of space in the bars but as it is an old school (very beautiful) theatre can forgive that!

    Best Show On The Planet
Me and my daughter went to see Stranger Things at the Phoenix Theatre. I have never seen anything like it. It was absolutely brilliant. The special effects were amazing and the cast were true professionals. Everything about the show was just brilliant. To be honest I am lost for words.

Lovely Theatre, Great Staff and Fabulous Show
We went to Stranger Things, First Shadow, this weekend. Show was incredible, breathtaking. The staff were lovely and so helpful. The show is 3 hours and it's an old theatre and the seating can be a little uncomfortable. I asked for a cushion and one of the staff dropped it down to my seat. Lovely service. Problem solved.

This is second time in as many years I've seen this show - I recognize some of the actors! Excellent show, funny, sad, thought provoking and moving all at the same time. Well worth going to see it when it comes to your city. Phoenix Theatre in London is an old-fashioned venue, seats a bit hard and cramped.

This is a comfortable, small(ish) theatre with a very cozy feel: all staff were welcoming, friendly and approachable. The show, "Come From Away", was brilliant: a view of 9-11 centred on airline passengers diverted to Gander. Well acted, moving performance which was emotion inducing: humour and sadness in equal measure. The songs were fast and furious: sometimes a little difficult to understand when they fell back on local dialects but this did not detract from the overall enjoyment as it added that touch of realism to what is, after all, 'a local' story.

The Show.
There is NO interval. It's a continuous musical. Given the setting and the way it was presented, I think the producers do not want the show to loose its momentum and intensity.
The cast were playing several characters within the show but they were able to pull the entire act off without me getting confused.
There's a reason why the show garnered several awards. See it for yourselves, guys .

The theatre.
Brilliantly located. Several restaurants, underground stations and pubs nearby. Close to other theatres too for those who'd like to do show-hopping.
Seats were somewhat small and low for me who's somewhat an ectomorph and just 165cm tall.

Attended this theatre to see Come From Away for second time. Show is amazing, full of energy, catchy songs and great live music as the story of planes stranded in Newfoundland during 9/11 is told. The first time we were seated on the front row,but with a high stage we felt we missed some details. This visit we were 5 rows back in the centre and had a perfect view. We had emails in the run up to the show advising us of the Covid measures in place. When we visited the front of house staff were well organised and helpful. A great night out.

A friend and I saw come from away here in October 2021. If you're unsure of a west end show then I would recommend this one. Its shorter with no interval but this doesn't stop the exceptional story. Its' the perfect mix of fun, humour, emotion, serious and empathy to the real story it's based on. The Phoenix Theatre itself is an architectural pleasure; it's beauty comes in abundance as soon as you walk through the doors. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful throughout. It's the best feeling in the world being able to step back into the marvel of theatre and everyone who worked there made it all the more so brilliant.

Come from away was an excellent production. It truly was the warmest and most vibrant show I have seen in years. There was no intermission, so imbibe with caution. I sat in the grand circle B 23. Despite sitting up in the heavens, my view was very good. People sitting in row A did lean over the railing a bit, but it was not terribly bothersome. I have attached a photo of my view after the performance. I paid £45 the day of the performance on the Todaytix app. The young lady sitting next to me paid £25 at the box office that day. If you have the energy, a day ticket at the box office is a good option. The show sells out fast. The theatre is intimate so most seats have a good view unless they are extreme sides. Be aware that the grand circle is accessed by a stairway at a separate entrance. There are toilets at the top. If you have mobility issues, the grand circle is not a good option. Just go.

The show was brilliant - stranger things - so no issues there.
Big problem is the poor service and uncoordinated staff.
We arrived 1 hour before the performance (per the theatres email request you receive a few days prior to visit) then had to wait for 55 mins (5 mins before show started) before they opened up our section, although we kept being told 5 mins, 5 mins - WTF was going on???
Seats are very steep and if you don’t like narrow seats, then wait until it goes to one of the regional theatres instead.
Definitely wont be booking anything at this theatre again.
On the flip side ST was an excellent show, shame the venue is pants.

We recently watched the Come From Away matinee and the show was incredible, we cried and laughed throughout, the cast completely deserved their standing ovation at the end. The theatre itself is fairly small but perfect. We sat in the stalls on row L and we had a fantastic view. There was plenty of legroom. We were queuing for the ladies toilets prior to the show when one of the staff members directed us to more toilets further along - no queue! If you like a smaller, more intimate theatre this is perfect.

We won two tickets to Stranger Things: The First Shadow via Tix Lottery, but unfortunately we hardly enjoyed the show. We sat in the front row, these tickets were assigned to us. It was almost impossible to see anything on stage. All the action of the actors was far away from the edge of the stage, it was impossible to watch anything going on. The whole show, which was undoubtedly excellent, was ruined by this. For the audience in the front row, the show is merely a "soundtrack" to which they have to imagine the picture.

We, thanks to the theatre lottery, had the opportunity to buy one ticket for £20, imagining I would pay £135 for this ticket in a normal sale, as advertised, I would be incredibly upset.

I believe that if the stage wasn't so high and people in the first few rows could watch the action on stage, it would be absolutely impossible to give this show any negative reviews.
