About
Located along the Thames River, this iconic observation wheel offers unobstructed views from its glass pods. During the 30-minute ride, you'll be able to see London's well-known buildings like Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, and The Shard. On a clear day, you can see up to 25 miles from the top—where Windsor Castle is. Sunset views here are otherworldly, but nightfall views of the twinkling lights are great too.
London Eye can be reached easily by taking the Tube to Waterloo station. You might want to buy fast-track passes online in advance to skip the queues.

- AnaLondon, United Kingdom215 contributionsIt's not worth it!The crowd ruins the experience. They left every other cubicle empty and they squeezed us in with 25 other people. It was literally ruined the experience as not everyone had space near the window. Way too expensive for a medium experience.Hi there, Thanks for leaving a review about your trip to the lastminute.com London Eye. - Alexia S19 contributionsGood experience, pretty pricey and overcrowdedWe visited around 4.30pm. The views from the pod are amazing, it takes around 30 minutes and personally found it a little underwhelming. There were around 22/23 people in our pod, which made it difficult to get images. People kind of settled in a spot and didn't move. It was a good experience, unlikely to do it again.Hi there, Thanks for leaving a review about your trip to the lastminute.com London Eye. - Jude LKingston, Canada2 contributionsAmazing tourist attractioni went with my grandmother who has lived in london for over ten years and we had an amazing time going on the london eye. if you aren't a fan of heights i wouldn't recommend. it takes around 45 minutes for it to go round once. the pods are very big and you can book one out for yourself but if you don't then you will share the pod with other people. if you have a wheelchair, the staff are more than happy to assist. one thing that i didn't like was this one staff lady who pushed me in the pod and almost trapped my foot in the door! apart from that it was a lovely experience and i would go again. Thanks for the review. - Samantha5 contributionsOkTreated my 6 year old to a weekend in London for her birthday. She couldn't wait to get on the London eye. Ended up being a tad disappointed because the capsule we were in was full of adults who hogged the one end (the main view over London) I get that everyone wants to see the view but there's plenty of time for the wheel to spin around for everyone to get a good view and move around. Unfortunately we were unlucky that day and those who were on with us wouldn't let the children onboard get to the main part... Even despite asking politely. So we ended up spending most of our time watching some 20 year old and her boyfriend create their romantic tiktoc or Instagram content. Anyway Would i still recommend it if visiting London... yes absolutely. Hope when we're back in December with the rest of the family, that we can get a better look.Hi there, Thanks for leaving a review about your trip to the lastminute.com London Eye. Firstly, please allow me to apologise that your visit did not meet your expectations. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional experiences, and it is disappointing to hear that this was not the experience you had when you visited us. Please rest assured I have passed on your feedback to the relevant departments. We do place the onus on our guests to be respectful towards each other, and it is disappointing to hear that the other guests in your pod did not adhere to our rules. - Desi30 contributionsThe London EyeThe London Eye offers a breathtaking view of the city and is definitely worth a visit. The ride is smooth and comfortable, and the staff is friendly and helpful. - melsimcoeBideford, United Kingdom41 contributionsAmazing viewsWent on the eye as part of a multi ticket for a family four. It's very expensive without a deal. We had the first ride of the day at 10am. We got in the queue 9.40am and was on the ride at 10.05am. This was Saturday 8th April. As the queues were not massively busy they didn't over fill the pod with people and we had plenty of room to move around all of the pod to see views from every angle. The weather was beautiful which helps, we had clear sky's and sunshine so got to see wonderful views of london. The pod did get quite hot as the sun was shining. It moves slowly and our ride lasted around 25 minutes. It was a great experience. Thanks for spending time flying with us. Glad you had fun soaking up the sights from the most unique point of view! - idotomanyreviewsAuckland, New Zealand34 contributionsAverage experienceIf you are doing this you should go here on your first day and as early as possible as the lines get really long. I'd say the London eye is overrated, but that is because I had already taken photos of the landmarks while on ground. It is a great place to take photos but after a while the photos start to look repetitive. If you are tired it is a good thing to do as there is a bench in the pod where you can sit for 30 minutes. I would recommend going here, however I personally don't feel the need to go back.We appreciate you taking the time to write this review. - WsmelserSavannah, Georgia154 contributions1st trip to London, London Eye was funVery smooth operation. Can't really see the whole city, it's basically hovering over Big Ben and Parliament. You can see some other things like the Shard. But it moves really really slow, about 30 minutes to get all the way around. Lots of time to take photos. However, be aware if you are with a group, there is an AUTO PHOTO shortly before you come in for a landing. It's on the left side of the car, if you want to get all your folks together and be ready for this photo. I had a large family in my pod and they were not aware of this and were upset they did not get a group photo on the pod. BILL S, Savannah, GA, USAThanks for the review. We hope to see you again soon! As a Londoner who lives abroad I have visited the London Eye several times, particularly when showing friends around London. This was my first trip in the dark. The views are spectacular and I love the way the persepctive changes as you go higher, it's useful to have an idea of landmarks to look out for. The staff were helpful and friendly, particularly Tracey who helped us in the purchasing process. I'll be back next year!

The London eye has a beautiful view, they do not overcrowd the gondolas, plenty of space to move around and take pictures. The lights along the river at night are beautiful.

Overpriced and over rated. The tickets are extremely expensive (£45 each for standard entry) for what it is- a slow ride over looking London. There wasn’t much information on the buildings or the history of London which would have made the experience more worthy of the price tag. I wouldn’t recommend or do again. I’ve had better in the sky tours in Barcelona for a fraction of the price. It’s a tourist trap!

Absolutely brilliant!
On approaching the meeting point we were approached by a lady who helped to guide us where to go.
I'm so glad we pre-booked our tickets as there was a pretty big queue. The check in process was easy and bag searches were carried out, this is so comforting.
On entering the cruise we were greeted by friendly staff who informed us that we could sit up on the top or inside as it was so cold. There's a bar on board which sells drinks and snacks which is a lovely touch.
Jordan our guide is amazing! He was very knowledgeable about ALL the landmarks we passed, he made it fun for the children but also catered for the adults! He spoke clearly and slowly so that we could understand everything.
I would definitely recommend the cruise!

How beautiful!
We had already pre-booked our tickets which saved us a lot of time when it came to joining the line.
Check in was an easy process. We got to the top and there were bag searches and metal detection carried out. Which is comforting.
We loved the voice over, whilst going around. It was informative, she directed you where to look to get the most out of the experience.
The seat in the middle of the pod was lovely, giving our little boy a chance to rest his little legs whilst still being about to see.
The staff were lovely! Offering help to get in and out of the pod, directing us where to go and helped make the process a lot easier.
I would definitely recommend going on the London eye, the experience is amazing
