Neighbourhood: Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

SHAME ON YOU CARTIER!!!
This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life.
I received my Cartier love ring in November after using their printable online sizing tool, which is NOT accurate. To my horror the ring arriving two sizes too small.
I contacted them straightaway and was told I could return it for an exchange. Unfortunately due to my husband suffering a cardiac arrest and coma for 10 days it meant I never returned the ring for 2 weeks.
CARTIERS REPLY
Why has it taken so long to return? The ring must have been worn as its all scratched.
MY REPLY
The ring had NOT been worn as its two sizing too small and would not even go over my knuckle. I even sent photo evidence. I wasn't asking for a refund just a simple exchange for a ring that was too small due to their online ring sizing chart being inaccurate.
CARTIER 100% LACK OF EMPATHY
Based on my experience, I will be taking this matter further with UK consumer rights and spread the news about my awful ordeal.
Never did I think Cartier were capable of such poor customer service, unnecessary delays ( 3 months & I'm still without a ring) and the need for multiple Cartier ambassadors to resolve a single issue is a joke.
Review from a very very unhappy customer, Karen Millward.
Oh and CARTIER do not give me a reply followed by, we are sorry for your experience because lets face it YOU'RE NOT! And you can forget your kind regards as their nothing kind about your company. You fail to even add your name at the end of your bad reviews which seem to be an awful lot, I wonder why?
NEVER AGAIN!!!

I visited Cartier in Selfridges with the intention of replacing my stolen Cartier watch. I would not say the service was bad as the people I had contact with were polite but I felt it strange that they have more staff who can’t help than who can. Eg/ security , a meet and greet person, random staff just wandering around. I fully understand that the two staff who could have helped me were dealing with other customers and couldn’t just drop them to serve me . It just didn’t feel a very special experience . Let’s face it for the money that’s what is nice about luxury brands. I waited half an hour then left and bought a watch elsewhere. They need to get more staff who can sit one to one and assist customers.

I arrived at the Cartier boutique shop in Selfridges, Oxford Street to collect my watch after a service and was greeted immediately and directed to a seat. I waited 3 minutes to me seen and they they apologised for the wait. I produced my ID and was asked to examine my watch and I was delighted with the results. Yes, it took 3 weeks to have the service but they had clearly taken a lot of time to bring it back to looking almost new. The staff were courteous which was nice.

The most unhelpful customer service imaginable. They appear to read from a script, not listening or trying to help. I felt like a child being told off

So disappointing, you buy an expensive watch and have it regularly serviced, not a low cost on a regular basis. It takes weeks for the service to be carried out and when returned the watch was losing time. So another month plus.

On December 12,2022 I ordered a Love bracelet for $7400 from Cartier for my husband’s birthday. I had the bracelet gift wrapped from Cartier and therefore it was not opened until I gave it to him on the evening of January 1, 2023. Upon opening we found the bracelet was too small and therefore was never worn. We called on January 2,2023 to start the exchange process. The bracelet was shipped by FedEx on January 3, 2023 and received by Cartier January 9, 2023. We were told it would be a 14 day process. Taking beyond that time we reached out to Cartier and they said it should be finished that day and a new one sent the following day. The following day we still heard nothing so called back and we’re originally told it wasn’t completed but once we asked to speak to a manager we were told it was just completed and the exchange was denied due to damage. Originally they stated the damage was due to tightening the screw too tight and we had scratched the bracelet all up, then the next day were told the damage was from trying to open it too wide. Neither of these things were done by us because the bracelet was never even worn. We were told our only option was to take back the damaged bracelet with no refund or have it remade for another $2220 on top of the $7400 we already paid for the bracelet for a total of $9620 for one Love bracelet. We were also told the “reproduction” time is 20 weeks. There was no way that we damaged this bracelet and all we are asking for is a different size. For the only option to be pay more money or get a damaged bracelet back is ridiculous. This is a luxury brand and the customer service is awful. They have a very condescending tone with you when you speak to them and basically put your back against the wall to get more money. We have done research and found this had happened to people over and over again with Cartier. Making you wonder if they are damaging the returns to get more money

We’ve booked an appointment prior to our coming however doorman made us wait in the rain outside for 15 mins . After we were in we had to wait another 20 mins even though we had an appointment booked 40 mins ago by then. Finally found the ring I wanted , I paid some of it in cash. Im confident they miscalculated the cash by £200 and made us pay more , sadly I was too embarrassed to say anting and make them count it again as it was a big pile it took them 10 mins to count it first time. Staff makes you feel very unwelcome , you have to beg for a drink , you have to ask for travel pouch , you have to ask for cleaning kit , you have to ask for complimentary champagne bottle …

This was my first purchase from Cartier . Went to old Bond Street and met Charlene. What a lovely experience and wonderful lady. She made me feel so welcome, felt like a apart of the family.
She helped me out with honest clear advise and gave great customer service. Loved it!

I truly have found my ring which I LOVE!!!

Thank you!

When the time comes to invest in more and get my ring engraved I’ll be coming back to this store and seeking Charlene out. 10/10 best Experian I have ever had in any store. Highly recommend.

If you are going to go to a Cartier store AVOID the one in Selfridges. Awful customer service. Despite complaining and the manager contacting me, they really don’t care. I’ve never been treated so abysmally. This was after having purchased the love bracelet and then a just en clou bracelet.

Paid £3400 for the platinum love ring. Took 2 weeks to arrive in the UK and be despatched by the courier DHL. They went to the wrong property, though they insisted they hadn't, would not allow me to collect from anywhere, and would only offer a re delivery service on the following Monday. I needed the ring by the weekend for an event. No acknowledgment of errors yet took payment promptly. I can't believe an item of this price from a company of this prestige does not have a reliable delivery service. Cancelled the order, bad service, obviously don't value me as a customer. And from having read other reviews, customer satisfaction isn't their top priority.
