The Village has become a firm fixture on Soho's gay scene since opening in 1991. The Village was the first of its kind to be opened in London and since then there have been dozens of bars who have copied its successful formula. The Village really does offer something for everyone 'all under one roof'. The upstairs 'Soho Bar' dance floor is where all the snap crackling pop, chart and commercial dance action happens, with residents Heidi Liscious & Robyn Banks, plus our gorgeous gogo boys on the bar! Descend into the basement club, where you'll find the best in chunky funky deep house & tech with the cream of London's dance scene DJ's, Paul Heron, Gordon John, Massimo Paramour, JJ Gullo & Gonzalo Rivas on rotation. Through to the 'Cafe bar' you'll find a more relaxed vibe with lots of seating & comfy booths. Further more, head upstairs to the new 'Cocktail Lounge' where you'll find another bar with luxurious booths, chandeliers and a stunning view of all the action right up Old Compton Street. We are now open from 3pm on Friday, Saturday & Sunday, and you are also very welcome to take your drinks al fresco onto Brewer Street where you can drink in the afternoon sun :) Pop in & say hi!

I met friends here on Friday 3 March 2017. I had one pint of lager shandy before going somewhere else for dinner. I returned 90mins later and was refused entry. The reason, “i was drunk” despite the fact that i’d had a coke with my dinner and the pint of shandy almost 2 hours earlier the security (said his name... More

I've been here a couple of times and each time it's been quiet and dead. It looks like a lot of fun from the outside where you can see the dance polls but I think it's more for decoration than usage. It's a shame because it has potential but for the quality of your money I would advise to go... More

I came here as id seen this place on here hehe. It was very busy 3 dancers was a DEFO highlight, the upstairs bar nice if you want a quite chat away from the dancers. The second bar downstairs is very quite boring to be honest, we only had one drink and left. The place itself is nice but it... More

The security guy rejected me and l was ahe required my ID totally unacceptable as I am 41 this year and I have asked again as I couldn't believe what I have heard. But he keeps... More

So I made my way down to London with my wife. We met a friend and went for a few beers around London. During our night out as our friend is gay we headed through soho and finally into village. This place is horrible I kid you not! The door man for start was a bully with an aggressive attitude.... More

I was a loyal customer. However on attending the bar in October I was pushed out of the way by a staff member. Staff were extremely rude and aggressive towards us. I would not go to this bar. Overpriced and rude staff

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
