Best pub roast ever, very close to mums. Visited on Sunday as group of 9 and preordered the roast platter. Absolutely stunning dinner, so much food and choice for everyone. Very friendly , attentive staff, thanks for looking after us all afternoon Alex. Stayed on till cocktail 2 for 1 offer from 4pm. Was hard to drag ourselves away and nearly made it through to the quiz.
Will definitely be visiting again and attempt to get through the massive portions.

We had a really lovely late lunch in the garden at the back of the pub. It was busy as it was a match day at Stamford Bridge, but the service and food were really good. It's table service, which I prefer, rather than standing around a crowded bar. I had the duck salad and my husband the cheeseburger with chips. We were not hurried. It's a quaint little garden. The pub is also good - we went back after the match for a drink and sat inside. Both times we were given a good welcome. Tip - good idea to book in advance on match days.

Nice beer garden, nice area but staff very unfriendly and slow. Our drinks (glass of wine & 2 pints of beer) were sat on the side for around 10 mins with a member of staff stood next to them chatting to the bar man before she brought them to us. Tab system doesn’t work. Unfriendly, slow staff - not worth the visit.

I had lunch at the Rose with some friends and thoroughly enjoyed it. The outside space is brilliant, lots of heaters and cover whilst we have to sit outside.
Service was attentive and the food was delicious, I highly recommend the rose for lunch or dinner. The new menu has something for everyone!

been here a million times....never again. Was shouted at for not signing in properly - my other half tried to sign in for me and I was told like a child that I had to sign in too, didn't I know? It's like being told off by teacher with his clipboard ....he forgets that we are actually paying customers, not kids on a day trip FFS!

Honestly, sometimes I wonder why we worry about being "allowed" out to places because food life was better during lockdown....the food here was so bad. My salmon fishcakes came swimming in bland sauce, they were flavourless and with no veg...I will eat any amount of good food but this was so bad. The roasts...well the lamb was off by 1pm...well done people...so two of my friends ate the beef which looked pretty yuck and they confirmed it was. Rubbery, bland tasting ....the worst roast ever ...and trust me we've eaten dodgy roasts at nearly every pub in London.

God I sound so miserable but all we wanted was a bit of decent food in a pub. Horrible food and horrible service...never again....

Hi Suzt99, First of all, I'm so sorry to hear about your disappointing visit to The Rose, this is obviously far from the experience we want our customers have when visiting us. In terms of track & trace through the NHS app, this is something we're currently asking all customers to do to comply with the government regulations and also to ensure the safety of our staff and our customers. We work hard to ensure everyone signs in which is not always an easy task. We have spoken to our team about your experience to ensure we don't forget about the big hospitality welcome whilst working with all these new rules and regulations. Again, I'm so sorry you felt let down on your visit and I really hope you give us another go. If you'd like to speak to me in person about this then please feel free to pop me an email to louise@moonshinebars.com and we can organise a phone call . Best wishes, Louise

I think employees of this place forgot where the cleaning equipment is before they opened. Awfull place, absolutely awful on every single step. Hospitality doesn't say to them completelly nothing so im surprised how dare they are to have service charge. Cleanliness in the whole place, disgusting. Dust and mess everywhere, dirty furniture and black dried chewingums stick all over the place, toilets just killed me, wee all over the place, broken taps on sinks, couldn't use none of those and that prices they got...waaaw. Buttered chicken as a starter which they are charging almost 8£ came burned to oblivion and it was absolutely not worth it for that 2 pieces of ,,chicken" they present on plate. I don't understand either why they got heaters outside in the garden all over the place and we had to be begging every 10 min if they can switch those on because it was literally 10 degrees outside. Waitress grounded our visit when she came up with card terminal and asked us to pay for our tap and she couldn't even talk and explain why is that. Incredibly rude as the garden was pretty busy so im not gonna believe we was only one table with open tap. Thank u very much, this place never again, everything over there was complete rubbish and I can clearly say that our whole lunch time went down the drain!!!!!!!!!!

Hi martuska25mrsnamrska, First, I'm so sorry to hear you had a disappointing visit to The Rose. I can ensure you that we take our cleanliness very seriously. We have a cleaner coming in every single morning & we had a deep clean done before re-opening on the 12th of April. All our food is locally sourced and freshly prepared daily by our chefs, we use seasonal products and fish caught on British coasts, we take great pride, both in terms of where our food is from and how it is served. We work hard to ensure we're competitively priced in comparison to other pubs around Fulham & Chelsea, we have however since your review improved the buttermilk chicken dish to make it a bit bigger. We didn't do tabs when first opening as we were trying to comply with covid regulations and use the app ordering mainly. We have however now gone back to how we used to operate pre covid times in terms of tabs, and all customers can now run a tab throughout their visit. Thank you very much for your feedback, we value it and take it onboard. Again, I'm sorry that your visit was disappointing, I do hope you give us another go. Best wishes, Louise

Such a great pub, came here with some friends for lunch & drinks on Monday. Food was superb & staff were very friendly. Nicely decked out, great vibe. Working in events & hospitality for over 20 years I know how hard it is achieve such high standards whilst making your customers feel relaxed and at home. Big thumbs up, will definitely recommend the Rose to my nearest & dearest!

Went on Sunday for a roast and was disappointed. None of the meals came as described and the portion sizes were very small. Everyone had to ask for Yorkshire puddings with their meals that were on the menu but for some reason weren’t initially given to us (which were undercooked.) Veggie roast didn’t even come with gravy and the nut roast was very burnt and had to be sent back, so I then ended up eating when everyone else had finished.

Some staff were helpful when we complained but overall didn’t really seem to care. Won’t be going back.
