Great bar scene - terrible food

We rolled in here one Sunday night around 7pm starving & loved the setting - big windows, large comfortable leather chairs & a quirky crowd. The chef must have been having a bad... read more

I have been going to this pub for over 10 years. It used to be one of my favourite in London. Sadly, I will NEVER go back after the way I was treated this weekend. We were totally ignored at the bar for over 10 minutes (4 staff around but busy doing nothing). Food arrived with no cutlery. Plates were... More

Studiously ignored when we went in. When I asked if we could sit at a table I received a shrug. We had to collect our own cutlery and drinks. Fish and chips very average with the smallest portion of chips, inedible mushy peas and over priced. My friend took our plates back to the bar and asked if there was... More

The bar staff made me wait for an unacceptable time to order drinks from the bar when there was no queue, I had my wallet in my hand and the available staff were more interested in finishing their conversation instead of serving customers. Most staff had a real air of arrogance with their attitude towards our group and it was... More

We rolled in here one Sunday night around 7pm starving & loved the setting - big windows, large comfortable leather chairs & a quirky crowd. The chef must have been having a bad day as the food was dreadful. The salmon was tiny, potatoes dry, steak over-cooked & inedible, roast also dried out & over-cooked Veges. This area has such... Went for a few drinks, I'm not personally a smoker but was with friends who smoke. The location was picked over another For the beer garden, but shortly after arriving (I think second drink into the evening) they told everyone we had to crowd inside...it wasn't even late. The bar tender had a smart mouth and made a few off... More

With an Old Chelsea charm unchanged in the twenty odd years I have eaten there...now manned by tattooed children all looking for vocation; hospitality will not be one of them. We ordered Sea Bass & Steak&Chips and we waited and waited for forty minutes while the staff wandered back & forth eventually remembering they had not put the order through...panicked... More

I visited Coopers Arms with my family from out of town on a Sunday. My stepmom and I had the roast, while my aunt and niece had the steamed mussels with white wine sauce and the beer battered cod. Everything tasted superb, at the same time as it was reasonably priced, and the staff was very helpful and perfectly attentive.... More

We are fans of the Coopers Arms after they hosted our wedding reception in October 2014. The pub has since had a re-vamp but kept its original features. Food is really always tasty, with a great menu and decent value for money. Today the sirloin beef roast was excellent. Usually lovely staff but I must say that the female waitress... More

Quick drink before dinner and walk up the river. You have to love a pub with a resident moose. Lovely.

I wanted a convenient and affordable reception venue for our wedding ceremony at Chelsea Old Town Hall. The Cooper's Arms is just 7 minutes walk away. The Albert Room is above the pub and has it's own bathroom for guests. The room is decorated in soft blues with whimsical portraits of animals in formalwear. A fireplace with fresh flowers adds... Staying in Chelsea

Neighbourhood Profile
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.
