This pub could be such a good spot especially for watching sport or larger groups. The unique idea of a German beer hall in Lambeth is great but the service doesn't match the aspiration. I visited to watch Liverpool on the Europa League final and the place was packed. We booked a table so we could order food. The staff... More

It was the worst service I have experienced in a german pub. We ordered food and we waited more than one hour to be told that they forgot to place the order in the kitchen- no apologies given - obviously the kitchen closed meanwhile and there was almost closing time when they decided to bring the food- we decided to... Went to meet a friend who was up for the St Pauli game. Service was on the slow side, very slow, snails pace. Average time waiting for beer about 20 minutes. Happened to loads of customers, ended up was a running joke, was actually quite funny how bad it was. One St Pauli fan had enough, got up and left!!... More

It's basically a pub with a different name, but has Zeitgeist signs in the windows. German beer is served in steins and is excellent. Decor no different from a normal pub. Staff are Germanic and excellent. Food is German and well received unadventurous stuff works well with beer. Would definitely come here again. In fact I'm going to do so... More

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Would not recommend this place to anyone. We walked in, weren't even greeted by anyone, staff just stared at us. They didn't even say a word to us until we left 10 minutes later.

Couldn't get service here, it was not busy but was ignored by extremely rude staff. Go to the rose a short walk away. We ended up walking out and I'm glad they didn't get my pounds.

We went for a drink and some food, it was quite busy as football was on. Great choice of beers but with only two staff serving on a double bar we had to wait a while to get served. The food service was incredibly bad. It took the best part of an hour to see any food and when it... More

Stumbled upon this place completely by accident - and what a pleasant surprise! Staff are attentive, beer selection (all beers are imported from germany, so don't think £5/pint is unreasonable!) and quality excellent and atmosphere great. The beer garden at the back is an added bonus! Didn't try the food yet, but judging by the plates nearby, looked and smelled... More

Went to this pub to watch the German World Cup match. They asked for £10 entrance just to get it which is ridiculous. Then inside beers were over priced and the atmosphere wasn't great. They have a good selection if beer and food but as described very overpriced
