Bright and airy

Bright and airy pub with big windows. They do a lot of trendy more obscure beers, nice IPAs. Worth a visit, as a good pub.

Much bigger on the inside then you first think this place is great for meeting friends or going out for a few pints, on the edge of Hoxton Square and High Street and very near Shoreditch there is plenty around. This place is generally quieter than most but it has a cool atmosphere friendly staff and nice drink.

This place used to be so cool, with its illuminated (saturday-night Fever style) dance floor, reasonably priced drinks and cool staff...but not anymore. The door now seems to be run by the lovechild of Hanns Scharff and Naomi Campbell, who spent so long interrogating two of our group with the same questions, that by the time she had finished with... Visited here for our works Christmas party as it was a reasonable place to meet being close to Hoxton Square. The venue itself is stunning. It's quite unlike any other bar in london in terms of internal finishes. Markets as a Craft Bar. Disappointing not for them to have a pump ale or IPA as these are central craft beer... More

Staying in Shoreditch

Neighbourhood Profile
The western front of the edgy East End, Shoreditch is a perennially trendy haven for anything “street” – be it art, food, or fashion. With its handful of well connected transportation links dotting its perimeter, along with an ever increasing variety of shops, hotels, bars, and restaurants, it's easy to explore this trend-conscious and youth-oriented neighbourhood. There's a lingering post-industrial grit about Shoreditch, but because it shares a border with “The City” financial district, the influence from its upscale neighbour can result in fascinating outcomes.
