Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Right outside Euston between Euston road and bus station . Large range of real ales and well kept , great ! However no space inside which is fine in summer but not great in winter . Also some great bar staff but also some who just were not interested . I know the bar is busy and I know asking about which is a traditional bitter might be boring but don't show it and almost show distain . Its a good real ale bar with good beer but best in summer .

This place is excellent. As a real ale lover, the selection of beer held her is very good. The beers are well kept and the selection is wide-ranging.
Every time I have visited London I have been here and will return again in the future.

I regularly visit the York and Sheffield Taps and am generally a fan, but have stopped going to the Euston Tap. I have never been there without getting the feeling that the bar staff would prefer me to be somewhere else. On some occasions they've been talking to other staff or customers before grudgingly acknowledging that I'm there. But that's the best that can be hoped for.
On one occasion we were served pints of cask ale that looked and tasted to be at the end of the barrel. When I pointed this out the barman didn't acknowledge that the beer was off and implied that we'd changed our minds. He served us replacement pints with an ill grace and left the full, cloudy, pints in front of us, not removing them until after we'd left.
My worst experience was one evening when I was stupid enough to take my wife there to wait for the lowland sleeper. We had heavy bags when we arrived at about 1020. The staff watched us lug them up the narrow spiral staircase but made us move back downstairs just ten minutes later, claiming they were closing. At 1030?
Maybe they don't like older people (I'm 61). Whatever the reason for their rudeness I'll continue to visit the York and Sheffield Taps, look forward to my first visit to the Harrogate Tap but will go to the Bree Louise if near Euston.

The Euston Tap has been one of my regular haunts for quite a few years but recently I feel it's letting itself down really badly. There are plenty of other places in London that have far more interesting ales on offer. Unfortunately I won't be going back to the ET anytime soon.
Such a shame!

Small place - though with outside seating including heaters - with an even smaller upstairs & toilet outside Euston train station. Reasonable prices too. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Well-recommended !

Right outside the doors to the station and also close to many tube stops. Interesting list of cities engraved on the corners. Outside tables. Tiny bar.

By visiting a pub! Is the answer. Two hour wait for a train at Euston on a Tuesday had to visit the Eston tap. Excellent choice of cask and legged ales. Served in a causal area the serves one purpose.
Pop in and enjoy a different brew and then purchase some train beers for the journey.
