I love stopping here for brunch on Sundays while I am in London. The Portland is also close to the hotel I stay at, Double Tree by Hilton at Marble Arch. Sundays are especially great since they serve a delicious roast.

Conveniently located near the bus stops and underground station of Marble Arch. Enjoyed the table service and heated outdoor pavement seating. Enjoyed my pints and pie.

We were having a drink in the downstairs pub then decided to see if they had a free table in the restaurant upstairs which they did. We started with the Terrine of foie gras, chicken mousse and black pudding and although it was very good it was more of a chicken and black pudding terrine rather than foie gras, I... More

Next door to the Donostia, literally, went in before and after the meal. Friendly vibe, good bar staff with some banter and reasonably priced drinks, for London, which makes a change. Try it 5 minutes off Oxford St.

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
