When in the Leicester Square area this is a good early meeting point if you're in town for a night out. I would not normally go to this sort of joint as I imagine it gets very busy later on, so I prefer the small bar on the right entrance which has excellent prices beer/wine/cocktails from 5-9pm. I believe it... More

I was there with a friend; despite occasional guy getting too close and grinding on us was fun, good music, drinks not too expensive. Then I noticed a man had taken some coats and amongst them was mine, I went to the man and grabbed my coat, he grabbed me by the throat and threatened me. Some bouncers threw him... More

Was here with a friend on a night out. Very mediocre crowd, but that was expected for a wednesday night. However, after paying for entry (10 Pounds to get in? What?) and paying another 1.5GBP for cloakroom service, we left after one set of drinks. Crowd was not very lively and we were overdressed, which doesn't happen very often in... More

Second time in this place and things are getting worse. Now they charge £5 for entry. Basically to be able to get in and buy drinks. Once we get in we realised that they have displayed notes all over the place saying. "Cash only" which is ridiculous nowadays. The The place was so filthy. smelly and the music so loud... More

My friends and I decided to try this bar one night to get a feel of the London nightlife. On a cold Thursday night we joined a line of about 15 persons to enter the bar. We were asked to present some form of identification at the door; this can be a passport, drivers license or ID card. Your card... More

Back in 2000 when I moved to London my flatmates took me out and this was the first bar we visited. Well, the first one we tried to visit, since one of us had dreadlocks and we were not allowed in. 16 years on still in London and seeing the kind of people that frequent this bar, I am so... More

Not really my scene, but they were supposed to be having a Latin night event, but the theme disappointed, apart from some music, there was nothing Latin about it. The positive: drinks are quite cheap, which lead to some funny sights and some angry drunks; nothing too terrible, one thing balanced the other. There are 2 floors but there is... More

For my best friends 20th she booked a VIP booth for £200. This came with a table, 20 shots of Apple Sourz, 10 beer bottles and a hat full with sex on the beach. The booth was cosy and the seats were comfortable, however on numerous occasions throughout the night we had random members of the public joining us as... More

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
