Having been recommended Spice Monkey through a friend I booked for Nikita to come and run the 'indian feast' course at home for four of us which was out of this world. He was so helpful in the lead up to the course in advising...More
My fiancée and I went back to Spice Monkey for a second course - the Taste of the Punjab, having been on the beginners course last year. Nik and Mrs G were on great form again and the recipes and overall experience were first class....More
Completed the taste of the Punjab course recently. Very informative regarding Indian food, cooking technique and spices. The hands-on element was also very educational and we got to eat the result, which was delicious. Thoroughly recommend.
I went on the taste of Punjab course and it was excellent. Nick is a great teacher and I learnt a lot about the structure of Indian food. Mrs g created a great lunch, that I'd like the recipe for, and then you get to...More
Nik and Mrs G run a brilliant cookery school. Nik is the main teacher and explains everything really well and is funny and engaging. He gets everyone to do something, and the classes are small enough to give you a decent experience of cooking and...More

This is a really excellent experience and I’d definitely recommend it. Nick makes the day fun and I did not expect to learn so much or feel so inspired. The classes are small enough for everyone to have a decent turn at doing some cooking....More
I wasn't sure quite what to expect from the day, but it was really informative and enjoyable. I certainly wasn't expecting to learn so much about different spices and ingredients, and to come away with a basic understanding of how to use them for pretty...More
I am just a enthusiastic home cook - not an 'advanced' cook by any means - and the advanced course was just right. A superb experience. Rather than learning anything by rote, you are left with the knowledge to be able to go away and...More
We went along to meet Nikita and his amazing mum Mrs G at his house on a sunny Saturday morning, along with 7 others. The day was great fun, relaxed and informal. Everyone was made to feel included and had a go at the tasting...More
