About
Bread Angels are a network of award winning bakers who teach a range of excellent bread baking classes all over the UK - not just London! We have everything from a basic bread course to specialty courses in, for example Italian, Gluten Free, or Spelt/Rye bread. We also have a full day sourdough bread course as well as also have seasonal bread courses - check out the Christmas or Easter courses when the time comes. You do not require any experience to do any of our classes. Classes are small (maximum 6 people), intimate and super fun and informative. Students have a great time, receive plenty of individual attention, and leave feeling uplifted and confident. Prices vary, and include expert tuition, recipes and notes, lunch, teas and coffees and plenty of bread to take home. It's a bit confusing that the phone number is in Mexico, I know! But please whatsapp it or e mail us we promise we will get right back to you!

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I have found baking sough dough bread a bit of a nightmare , in fact I’d given up. But I got the birthday present of a days training with Liz at Ma Bakers and it has been a revelation. No secret recipes just good honest techniques with the right ingredients. Liz’s organisation is superb and there is never a moment when you are not engaged with preparing and baking the different breads ( except at lunch time when she laid on a delicious spread).I could not recommend her course highly enough.

Completed an excellent one day bread making course with Alex of Well_Bread. Alex has loads of tips and expertise - she makes it seem easy and the time flew by , with a delicious lunch in the middle . I went home with an amazing selection of loaves and the confidence and detailed recipes to give it a go on my own.

A huge thank you to Juli Farkas for the most wonderful day of delicious bread! I recently attended her one-day sourdough bread making course and learned to make 4 different breads - all absolutely delicious. The course was very well organised, highly informative and full of invaluable tips throughout. I have since made the various loaves at home following Juli's detailed guidance and notes and am thrilled with the results. I will definitely be continuing with making bread regularly at home now, to the delight of the family and friends. Thank you!

I couldn't recommend this Micro Bakery course enough! Two days of full knowledge, practice and fun with Liz (IG:@MaBakerBakes) in London SW6. From sourdough to yeast breads, kneading and shaping techniques, plus all the business side, Liz is amazing, passionate, kind, and she definitely shares all the tips and tricks for the perfect loaf (or loaves rather). There are plenty of courses available so pick yours and enjoy it. Plus you will probably end up with a lot of breads to bring back home and enjoy. Again, wonderful experience with a wonderful baker!

It started with completing the sourdough course with Ma Baker (Liz Wilson) several years ago that sparked my interest so finding some time on my hands I embarked on the virtual Start your Own Microbakery course. The course is full of interesting facts and the videos are a great way of interaction. It was nice to do it at my own pace although it would have probably been nice to have some co-learners. It is well structured and I feel confident to be let out into the community.

The Micro Bakery course with Liz was amazing! I was welcomed into Liz’s home and taught how to make delicious bread, all whilst learning how to set up a micro bakery of my own. Liz has such an engaging manner as a teacher - calm and relaxed and the transitions from one recipe to another were seamless. I left feeling full of optimism for my new venture and would recommend the course to anyone with a passion for good bread.

Best baking class I have ever taken! Liz was such a kind and wonderful teacher. She was so knowledgeable and passionate about baking and answered all our questions on breadmaking. The class was extremely well organized, with wonderful flow, and we got to make so many different types of bread! During times we were waiting for the bread to rise, she provided us with tea and snacks, and Liz was incredibly warm and hospitable. Throughout our hands-on lesson, she provided helpful tips on kneading techniques and shaping techniques. She provided us with printed recipes on the various breads that we made. I found the recipes to be extremely easy to follow and bake at home! I left feeling very confident in my skills and inspired to improve my own baking. I also left with a lot of delicious bread to share with friends and family! I would highly recommend this class to anyone interested in breadmaking, both at home or professionally!! This was definitely the highlight of our trip in London!

Fantastic 2 days spent learning about all things bread. Liz is a great teacher who's vast knowledge is matched by her patience and good nature. My questions were relentless yet there was nothing Liz couldn't answer.
Although I was baking most days already, I walked away with a great deal of new recipes along with big improvements to my technique.
The detail about running a microbakery was invaluable. I would have no hesitation in recommending Liz and bread angels to anyone with a passion for creating or just eating delicious bread.

Hello...children are more than welcome. Have a look at the Bread Angels website to see listing of classes that are available next week. I am away until August 7, but will happily put on a class for you if you are still in London then. Let me know if you need any further information.

Liz Wilson
