About
Not the 'bog standard' London experience! Loo tours offers guests a practical and entertaining introduction to a lesser-known side of the city. The tour includes history, philosophy, politics, and of course a healthy dose of toilet humour. If you have ever been caught short while out and about in the capital, this is the tour for you! Most routes last 1.5 - 2 hours and always finish somewhere where those inclined can have a drink with the guide and continue to chat.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Recently did the guided tour with the fab Rachel as our guide.

She was fantastic. Giving us loads of amazing facts and information as walked around on the tour. Learnt loads about the history of toilets & sanitation.

Also where the free loo's are and where you pay!

A great relaxed tour, loads of fun facts and info. Very funny as well. I loved this tour and totally recommend it.

Organized as a surprise by our work mates, this tour was a happy accident. Following Rachel around central London, focused on the plunger in her hand instead of the usual guide flag, I had one of my nicest evenings in London yet!

Rachel is an EXCELLENT guide - she's funny, quirky, with a dry sense of humour and a flair for poetry and narration (which she says comes from her drama days). She kept us engaged with wacky questions, was interested to know loo tales from our own traditions, and made sure she peppered enough facts in to blow our minds.

On a more serious note - even if you think you couldn't possibly want to know anything about loos, be prepared to be surprised - this is a lesson in bygone traditions, modern vs olden architecture, energy generation, and royal practices - history, geography, science, drama, all rolled into one.

A fantastic way to spend a little over an hour - would definitely recommend doing this in small intimate groups - Rachel, if you read this, you made our day LOOvely!

I adored this tour! We booked it as part of my hen do, and I was after something historical and quirky - and it was sooo good! Rachel is an excellent guide, and even though I live in London, I learned so much about the history around urban public toilets (which sounds really silly but they're so important). The tour was hilarious and so much fun, and she even tailored it to fit with the next stop of the day. Thank you, Rachel!

Brilliant! Our guide was well informed and had an excellent sense of humour (which she needs to have, given the subject matter). The walking tour was well organised and not over long, the commentary full of interesting facts about the history and workings of facilities we all use but most take for granted. Amazing how much of London's loo-related infrastructure is hidden in plain sight! All in all, time on this tour is time well spent. Most enjoyable.

This tour was one of many toilet themed gifts we’ve shared with our friends, and a great afternoon out. Rachel is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about her subject and we walked and learnt about all things London and Loo’s. A shame we had a booking at the WC bar as it meant we missed the opportunity to have a cocktail and talk more sh1t with Rachel.

As self-confessed loo lovers, this tour was absolutely brilliant. A fascinating mix of toilet history, fun toilet facts and useful tips on places to pee when caught short in Central London! We loved it. It was four years of anticipation come to fruition previously frustrated by Covid and rail strikes. But this time it came off, thanks Rachel!

Rachel has taken several groups of my students on her Loo Tour, and they've all loved it! The tour is offbeat, fun, and interesting, covering a whole range of historical and current issues related to sanitation that help visitors understand the context, challenges, and successes of the British loo. Rachel has crafted a well-researched and informative narrative appropriate for varied audiences. The tour also covers an exciting section of central London for visitors who are trying to get their bearings.

This tour was booked as a present with a difference. It was different from other informative tours pleasantly so. The guide was knowledgeable, fun and animated which made it all the more enjoyable. This a a part of the history of London that isn’t usually spoken of. Glad we did it
