About
Beefeater London: The Home of Gin, the capital's first dedicated gin distillery , lifts the lid on the extraordinary stories and events behind one of the world's favourite spirits. Beefeater Gin, is the only historic dry gin still distilled in the capital city and, as such, is uniquely qualified to tell the remarkable story of the history and production of gin in London. The experience entails a self-discovery stroll through the history of gin in London, as well as a guided tour. A Beefeater host will escort you to the heart of the distillery to explain a hand-crafted production process and to guide you through a sensory experience of the botanicals that make Beefeater gin. The visit includes a tutored tasting of four Beefeater Gin expressions and culminates with a complimentary Beefeater & Tonic. To enjoy the gin tasting and complimentary B&T, you must be over 18. No children under age of 8 are admitted to the distillery. All tours are subject to availability.

- Happyvisitor2023London, United Kingdom1 contributionDiscovering GinWonderful afternoon. Excellent exhibition which would have benefited from more than the half hour allocated. Very good guide explained the process f Gin making and all the different flavourings with tasting of 4 of them followed by explanation of the distillery process. And finally a beautiful complimentary large glass of gin. It wa a real eye opener and brilliant experience.Hi there, thanks so much for your review - it really does mean a lot to us to receive feedback. I'm so glad you enjoyed our guided tour and thought it was a brilliant experience. It's always a bit tricky to find a sweet spot between giving too much time in our exhibition for some guests, and not enough for others. We do appreciate your feedback though, and it's great to hear you thought it was excellent. Guests do have the option of going back through the exhibition after their tour if they'd like more time in there. Thanks again, we hope to welcome you again. - B52Chesapeake, Virginia396 contributionsAnother distilleryThere is a very nice, short self-guided museum detailing the history of alcohol and gin in London. Sip a cocktail as you walk through the museum. The museum does not have any views of the actual distillery. Book a tour to see more. Unfortunately, tours were limited. Plan ahead. The distillery is an in okay area and we walked to the distillery.Hello, thanks so much for your review. It would be a pleasure to welcome you on one of our distillery tours- we do recommend pre booking, and you can usually find same day tickets available. I'm glad we were able to accommodate you for entry around our exhibition though. Please do get in touch if you have any questions about bookings, or if we can help arrange a booked experience. - SmittywallBad Axe, Michigan66 contributionsGreat experience! Very interestingVery nice tour! Don't really need 1/2 hour to pre tour the museum but probably a buffer for time. Tour leader was very good in describing the ingredients. Cement floor is very hard to stand on for almost an hour, maybe some rugs would help with that. Gin and Tonic with tortilla chips was nice way to relax after tour.Hello, thanks so much for leaving a review - I'm so pleased to hear you enjoyed your visit. I'm sorry to hear you didn't feel totally comfortable though - we do always do our best to ensure guests are hosted to their needs and are happy to offer chairs for the tasting part of the tour if preferred. - East-mt165 contributionsA Must for Gin DrinkersA short walk from the Tube, Beefeater is easily accessible. The tour has 4 distinct parts. 1.) A self guided tour through a fantastic set of static displays, 2.) A gin taste testing organized by a throughly knowledgeable guide. The guide allows visitors to smell, feel and… taste all of gins components. 3.) A fascinating visit to the distillery…and description of exactly how it’s Beefeater makes its gin! 4.) A perfect drink (we chose the classic and delicious gin and tonic). After the tour ended we visited the handsome and well stocked gift shop. It was really the ideal tour and perfect length. If I had a single suggestion for Beefeater it would be to invest in some stools during the gin tasting. While only 30 minutes it was a long time for this 63 year old to stand behind the podium and, sadly, my sore feet distracted from an otherwise wonderful afternoon.Hi there, thanks so much for your review. I'm so pleased you had such an enjoyable visit. And thank you for your comment regarding stools. We do offer guests to make themselves comfortable when we first arrive in the tasting area, and do usually offer out stools for the 30 min tasting session of the experience. I apologise this didn't happen on this occasion, but I'm glad you had such a great experience anyway. Highly recommend. I'm not the biggest fan of gin, but still I had such a great time and want to come back! The museum was fun and appreciated that you could go at your own pace. The tasting was my favourite part - Katharina was a great host and kept us engaged throughout, and the gin was nice too! The distillery itself is amazing and was a very cool look into behind the scenes.

Such an amazing experience, got to see where all the gin is made, a gin tasting experience (including one that is only available at the Beefeater distillery) and also a museum tour. Finished with a lovely gin and tonic (or lemonade) and popcorn!!!

We used the Beefeater meeting space on a Saturday and had the most amazing day. The staff were attentive, kind and generous. They provided well for all our allergen needs. There was an abundance of food and it displayed beautifully.
The space itself was a fantastic open space with good natural light. We couldn't have been more pleased with the space and the reception we received. We will definitely use them again.

No, it is outside the congestion charge zone and you get drive to it easily from the north, west & south without entering the zone (routes from the east need to be carefully chosen though). There is plenty of on street metered parking in the area around the distillery.
