Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My partner and I were gifted this as an early Christmas present. The tour was wonderful, Malcolm was absolutely brilliant with a fund of musical knowledge and anecdotes. We hit all the high spots some I knew of (not many) and loads I didnt. All the way from Cliff and the Shads through to Oasis, iconic Bowie and fab four locations. As some previous revierw said, "If I could give him 10 starts I would" I echo that. If you like good music then this is the tour for you

So me and my wife went on this amazing tour with Malcolm today. I thought I had a good knowledge of rock history until taking this journey. Yes it's a lot of walking but the frequent stops where some great information is shared is well worth it.

We had a great time! Malcolm told us so many great stories about Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Oasis, The Beatles, The Kinks and many many more artists. All this history within walking distance. Highly recommended!

Kevin was a guide for this fabulous tour. If we could give him 10 stars we would. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He went above and beyond what was required. I would use him again in a second.

I did the Musical Roots tour with Malcolm today and had the most wonderful time. Malcolm’s knowledge was outstanding and the time just flew. He had plenty of anecdotes about my favourite musicians and bands and I would recommend this tour to any fan of British music. 10/10. Thanks Malcolm.

My husband and I did the Musical Roots tour with Rock and Trips and we couldn’t recommend it more.
Malcolm’s in depth knowledge of the London rock music scene from the 50ies up to the 90ies is vast and impressive. He has done an amazing job in collecting information and anecdotes that you will never find in books.
What is special about this tour is Malcolm’s ability to share his passion about rock, London and discovery, and to customise the tour according to your own music interests.
We learnt a lot from this tour, not only about David Bowie’s coming to fame, or where the photo of Oasis’s most famous album cover was shot, etc, but also about life in London in the 60ies, the evolution of the music industry, the power struggles between the big publishing companies and the singers.
It has been fascinating. Thank you Malcolm!

We would like to thank Malcolm for an exceptional walking tour of all the significant musical places in London. My husband and I went on a similar tour 5 years ago, but this one was much more informative and surprising. Malcolm has obviously done a lot of research and he makes the tour good fun for the family also.
I highly recommend his walking tour to anyone wanting to know all the musical historical sites and learn the inside stories to how and where the major bands and artists of the 60s to 80s formed , who managed them, where they played, recorded and where many of their album covers were shot.
