This little shop is a real gem of children’s toy/book shops. You can sense that everything there has been selected with a great sense of style and attention to details. We wanted to buy everything. Absolutely everything. Lovely shop with lovely people working there.

This little shop is a real find. Run passionately by a local family, and filled with classic toys which have been personally selected by the owner to be individual, high quality and a bit different. A goldmine for that thoughtful gift.

If you think most toys for children are of no use, badly made and randomly pink or blue, then this enchanting independent shop is for you. Staffed by people who can help you pick out a suitable present for a child of any age, this shop has fabulous books too and runs some great events.

I do love this place, it's one of the very few shops around that still reminds me of my own early childhood and the simple joy of discovering books. I took my niece on a trip here the other day and she had as much of a hoot as I did. The shop is small but packed with goodies, and in a rare trick only the very best manage the place looks remarkably tasteful. In fact, on passing,it more closely resembles a gallery or a pop-up exhibition and it draws you in. Prices are surprisingly reasonable - any other part of town it would be aimed squarely at the parvenu but here the shop fits comfortably with the fabric of the area. Browsing is allowed and children are actively encouraged which is why I am planning to take my niece here again. I just wish the place was bigger, there would be so much more to explore.
