Top ways to experience Jubilee Gardens and nearby attractions
The area
Address
Neighbourhood: Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Jubilee Park and Gardens was busy when I came, but I still took away from my experience that the place is a fantastic spot for the community to enjoy (and tourists, of course). It’s central to many must-see destinations in the city, including the London Eye (next door!). It felt safe and relatively clean, especially considering the summer crowds. Families with kids will particularly enjoy the park. Check it out!

With the London Eye soaring in the background this small park is often relegated as an afterthought but families with kids seeking a respite from the hustle and bustle of the London Eye vicinity would do well to spend time in this park. The park has several play structures that go beyond the standard slide, swing and see-saw. In fact there are sections for younger and older kids and the structures encourage free play involving climbing, crawling and walking over ropes. One can easily kill a couple hours here.
I highly recommend for families with kids.

Took our little ones to the playground after visiting the Shrek place nearby. It is situated next to the London Eye. There are plenty of places for adults to sit and watch their kids in the enclosed playground. Our kids played for absolutely ages and I could see they wete loving it. We managed to chill out a bit while they played too. All round, a lovely playground.

We spent a fair bit of time on the South Bank during our visit, and were staying just around the corner, but pretty much none of it in Jubilee Gardens itself despite passing right by several times.
This was mainly because there seemed no reason to spend time there. There is a playground but it was closed for refurbishment. That being the case, there didn't seem to be anything else actually there.

Located on the south bank near the London Eye this is a place many will visit, lots of areas to sit an unwind people watching.
Numerous stalls with areas for eating selling food and alcohol.
Only issue is the lack of public toilets! ONLY 1 toilet block which costs £1 to enter.

A lovely little retreat of the busy life of London. Great to sit and watch everything going on on the river Thames. Also a great place to sit and watch the London eye going round.

Just visited the playground for a short play after visiting Brewdog Waterloo. Great views of the London Eye, as you are almost beside it, and nice little adventure playground - all wooden and steel materials, lots of climbing and balancing opportunities. Didn't have time to explore the rest of the park but it looked lovely.

Definitely worth a visit if your in the area with young kids. Mine are 9 and 11 and they really enjoyed it. Fully enclosed which is good. Little squirrels running around and right next to the eye for some good photos.

A fantastic children's playground with stunning views of the London Eye. A great selection of children's activities in the playground, well maintained, consistently busy but still accessible, extensive seating spaces for adults. Highly recommended and very well located. Perfect for a picnic after visiting the London Eye.

Overshadowed by London eye, this park is nothing but benches, some greenery and skeletal trees. Did not enjoy here.
