Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had to wait over an hour to get in because they have halted online bookings for winter, but a September heatwave came on and they decided to cash in on it.
They should at least open the doors sooner for that, which they didn't. Pool sessions are only 3 hours and if you want to book both morning and afternoon sessions you have to go out in between them and wait in the queue! Again!
It is disgraceful.
The pool area itself is OK, water too cold most of the time. Worth it only on very hot days and with pre booking.
The caf stops serving the pool area after midday for unknown reasons, but there is not much selection anyway.

Parking is ridiculously expensive too. £12 for 4 hours and £10 per hour thereafter! This means families who arrive by car cannot make a day out of it without spending way too much for what the park has to offer. Shame.

The staff brought me to a room and told me I was a troublemaker when I shivered after swimming. The water was 2°C and shivering was a normal healthy response given the temperature!

The cafe as part of the lido should be avoided - had my card stolen twice in there recently and it was used within 15 minutes locally. There aren’t any shops nearby so this was targeted and planned. I’m contacting police and looking at CCtV in the area.

I’ve been summoning up the courage to swim here for a while. An unheated open air pool in Britain is always going to feel slightly chilly when you first get in, no matter how hot the weather gets.
I finally decided to go for the first time last week. Hampstead Heath tweets the pool temperatures and it was 22°. The Olympic pool in Stratford is heated to 26° and most local leisure centre lap pools will be 27° or 28° in comparison.
I love lap swimming so went at 7:00am. And wow, what an experience. There were loads of other swimmers. The pool is divided into five extra wide lanes - one slow, two medium, two fast. Plenty of room to overtake down the middle if necessary. In a 60 metre pool, it’s hard to space out in the normal way, but despite sharing a lane with about 14 other people, I didn’t get held up like I sometimes do in my normal pool. It’s chilly when you first get in, but then after your first length it’s just perfect! Refreshing and feels “healthy”! It also seems very clean and the steel floor reflects the sunlight beautifully. I swam 2040 metres and then had a shower. The changing rooms are definitely rather rustic. Showers are a bit temperamental and there are no doors on the changing cubicles. Also quite dirty. But… I wasn’t expecting anything else to be honest. A fancy modern changing room would have kind of spoiled the atmosphere.
I’ve been back twice more since my first visit last week. The hot weather and sunshine helps. Highly recommend that early morning swim to start the day. Parking is free on nearby streets until 10:00 too. Oh and the café serves decent food if you get peckish!

Great value for money, friendly staff, and 60m long!

Me and the kids had a great couple of hours here, but you need to be able to put up with the chilly water temperatures. (17C on the day we visited).

The pool is very clean and there's plenty of room.

A stunning pool - always great to have an open air swim and this is a really wonderful lido. It's metallic lining gives it a really sparkle especially when it's sunny - make sure you have some goggles and pop your head under so that you can take a look at the lovly sparkling effects!
It's unheated and 18 degrees when I went (late September), so if you are used to a heated lido/pool then prepare for a somewhat bracing swim if you come outside of the summer season.
Hot showers to help you warm up, and the basic but colour changing rooms are open. You leave your bags by the poolside.
Limited numbers allowed in during the pandemic, but on a Friday morning there was no queue to get in.
The architecture is classic and it has a very pleasing symettry and a curved cafe (on that note, the cafe is wonderful for a hot drink post-swim!).
You can wear full wetsuits, rashvests, or just normal swimwear/skins.
Very close to the overground (Gospell Oak station).

I love this place, it has an atmosphere that is difficult to define, the pool itself has a fantastic light quality due to the stainless steel liner. This makes a swim here very special. The changing rooms are somewhat quaint but you don't come here for plastic walls and tiled floors. I hope that they keep the booking system in place, it is good to be assured of getting 8n at a particular time.

We had a lovely, relaxing time at this great pool and quickly forgot about our absurdly long, almost two hour drive from Putney due to awful traffic on the way there, which of course made us miss the session we had prebooked. We arrived there hot, car sick and scared that we would not be allowed into the next and last family session of the day, but were delighted to find everyone was so rational and understanding. There were not very many people at the pool, which was wonderful, but I guess on such a hot day that was only possible because of the Covid restrictions in place, The pool was divided in a way that you could only swim across it and could not do lengths, but that was fine by me. The water felt cold-ish at the beginning, but lovely after swimming across a couple of times. It also felt clean, even though as I swam I could see there was what looked like tissue paper floating around close to the bottom in some areas, and also some sand. The paddling pool was clean and not crowded at all - only a few children in it. I liked the fact that it is in an enclosed area, surrounded by several tiered levels of concrete where families can sit or sunbathe, and there was plenty of room. I also liked the small children's slide on the shallow end of the big pool. Our three year- old had a few goes on it and loved it. The changing rooms were clean too, and no wet and slippery floors as the showers were not operational due to Covid.

An early sunny August morning along with my two adult sons - a great experience, water temperature bracing but oh!the pleasure of swimming outside with sunny sky! Old fashion changing rooms with great friendly atmosphere - very helpful staff. An outstanding experience.

Cool, clean and beautiful. Just the best place to relax and exercise in the city. Nice staff - kept clean and well maintained.

The cafe is excellent too. On a particular day of the week the chef makes a very good Lahksa noodle soup.
