My family of 6 had the greatest time on our food tour of London Bridge. Gary was our guide and he was friendly and so knowledgeable. He made everyone feel comfortable and easily navigated our group of 12 thru a very busy Borough marketplace. The food was great and entire experience was wonderful but Gary truly added to the experience. Would definetly recommend it to anyone visiting London including families as we brought my in-laws and children (9 and 6) and everyone enjoyed themselves.

This tour was a great way to experience Brick Lane and the Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi food of the area.
It was very educational and the food was delicious! We would do the tour again. Our guide Nanthini was terrific.
We do not recommend the enhanced drinks package however, it was overpriced and just included a shot of liqueur. The standard beer or wine provided were fine.

Nanthini was an amazing guide, knowledgeable about all the ins and outs of Brick Lane and Indian food. She kept the positive vibes going through the whole tour and really took the time to give a little something for everyone. You will experience all the sights, sounds, smells and above all tastes of London’s Indian food scene. Can’t recommend enough, this can’t be missed.

I have taken tours in the past and recommend to several friends that took tours. While they do a good job with the tours, their customer service (or lack of) during COVID was unacceptable. I had planned a trip for 4 that included stops in Dublin, Edinburgh and London with food tours booked in all 3 cities. We were due to travel in April 2020. I’m sure you can guess how it turned out - travel was restricted and our flights were canceled. Most vendors were accommodating given the circumstances but Secret Food Tours was unresponsive. Emails went unreturned and there was no response to the “refund” form I completed 6 months ago. They have sent zero communication regarding options outside of refunding and their web page makes no reference to COVID. When travel returns (and it will eventually) I will remember which companies stepped up and which ones didn’t. I’d be hard pressed to recommend them again whis is ashamed because the tour itself is great.

Hi, first of all we are terribly sorry for the delay at answering and fully understand your disappointment, as you have understood Covid has been a crushing blow for the entire tourism industry, ourselves have had to close all of our 65 destinations and let go all but a fraction of our team and we are running on a skeleton crew to still be here when things will improve.
First of all let me tell you that your vouchers are still valid, may I ask you to get in touch with us so we can create the proper credit note as I can not trace any forms without more details.
This credit will take the shape that suits you the best, either a change in the date for the same tour, a change of tour/city to match your travel capabilities or a transfer to family or friends of yours susceptible to be able to join the tour.
Of course there is no limit in time to make these changes but I just need to register you.
Please believe us when I say that we are sincerely sorry for not being able to deal with all the issues faster.

Thomas provide an excellent glimpse into London’s foodie world. He provided historical context and cultural anecdotes to round out an excellent dining experience. We enjoyed Indian dosas, fish and chips, sausage rolls among other classics. The vendors he chose were outstanding and the food was delicious and quickly prepared. Thomas gave our group time to shop in the market and gave excellent recommendations. We closed the tour with a trip to a quaint pub where we enjoyed some cider, Madeira and a pudding.

We've bee on walking tours before but this is the most fun .
Mellissa our guide is superb, pitched her style to suit the party.Shes tall which helps in a busy street.She handled us oldies with TLC .Shes never lost anyone on her walks . She boasts.she had pre ordered and made sure at every stop we got what was on offer. No missing courses for anyone , all went along like clockwork.
We bowled along to each new food spot with a full commentary ensuring we got a bit of background to the sample delicacies .
Oh yes and the food....fantastic , well balanced for all tastes.
Guaranteed great value for money.Tastiest tour in town!!

What an introduction to the Borough Market! We were part of a small group (6) that toured Borough Market with Anita. We started with introductions and an "ice breaker" (Tell us what you would have for your death row meal!) and then set off to taste some of what is on offer at the Market. We had bagels with smoked salmon and cream cheese, fish and chips (chips cooked Belgian-style), chocolate and cherry flavoured wine, honey mead, sausage rolls from The Ginger Pig, Apple Crumble, cheeses (3), cider and tasty doughnuts. We also sampled truffle oil and pate. Along the way, Anita gave us lots of information about the history of the area and, later today, Anita sent us a few restaurant recommendations. We are in London for a week and are already planning to go back to the Borough Market. We'd highly recommend this tour!

A wonderful way to explore the food of London and see some sights with an amazing guide. The London Bridge tour with Paul was an intimate group of ten people. Big enough to add some conversation and small enough to easily move through busy areas. Food samples were in abundance and came with interesting antidotes and stories. There were lots of little surprises along the way.
Our tour was great value and after it concluded Paul happily took a number of the group for a walk towards Tower Bridge. Paul was friendly, knowledgeable and had genuine enthusiasm for the tour.
I had originally booked on a different tour but it was unable to go ahead, the team at Secret Food Tours were excellent with their communication and making sure a solution was found.
I would highly recommend this tour!

Gary led the most charming, engaging, enlightening and delightful tour of London and its fabulous food scene. We felt totally connected to the culture and wonder of the place and would have loved to have spent the entire day together.
Our friend suggested the tour for our first trip to London and it was a winner by every measure.
We will be signing up for the beer tour when we return to London with our best friends and will be specifically requesting Gary.

Anita was an amazing guide for our food tour! The food choices were nice and I loved that she also told us a bit about the history around the areas we visited.
I do wish the tour explored more of borough market proper although it’s extremely busy and crowded there so I understand why that might not be possible. If you’re in London I definitely recommend to give this tour a try!

Bourough Market isn't as busy Monday and Tuesday, correct? Like less stands are open? So is there a certain day that this tour is best?

I went on a Thursday, all the stands were there and what I did like was as it was a week day it was less crowded than a Saturday when you can't really move around as it is a very touristy iconic place and you have more time to interact with the sellers.

When I googled Secret Indian Food Tour there are several. One is £40 with a chap called Raj and the other is £59 with the company who does both Indian and 'London' food. I notice that many of the reviews mention Raj as their tour guide is this Raj from the £40 tour? Please help as it is a bit confusing.

Secret Food Tours London has 2 tours. The Traditional British food tour is a daytime tour that starts at 11am and takes about 3 hours. It is focused on the Borough Market but also goes around the South Bank. The tour guide could be Raj or another guide. The Indian food tour starts at 7pm weekdays (5pm weekends) and takes about 3 hours. It is focused on the Brick Lane area. Raj is usually the tour guide but it could be another one of the Secret Food Tour guides.

Not sure. We did the "secret" tour and our Was not named Rak. I would try the tour nevertheless. It was so much fun. Don't think you can go wrong.

Hard to say. If you want classic English food, then the London tour. But you can easily find that food all over. If you want something that is impossible to find elsewhere in Europe, go for the Indian one (though don't forget that it is evening and not day).

The food tour ends at the starting point which is close to London Bridge tube station. We chose to stay a bit longer at the last restaurant we visited and walked from there over the Tower Bridge to the Tower of London.

Hello, we have two tours in London, the Traditional British food at £59 and the Indian food tour at £49. There are both great tours, very different but they give you a good idea of what London is about.
