    A nice little wander
I find Canary Wharf a really depressing place but as we transferring through, we though we’d pop up and take a look a the roof garden. the entrance to Crossrail Place is bright and funky unlike the sterile building, The roof garden is nicely done and must offer a welcome retreat for local workers. It’s not a tourist attraction but worth a look if you’re in the area.

    A tranquil oasis
I have visited this roof garden a few times and always enjoy being here. As there are real live plants here, the look of the garden will vary throughout the year. Sometimes there are lots of colourful flowers, sometimes not. You do get the occasional aeroplane going over, but London City Airport is nearby so this is hardly surprising.

    Oasis of Calm
A short walk from Canary Wharf and Canada Water the Crossrail Place Roof Garden is located above the Canary Wharf Elizabeth Line station (hence the name) and is also close to Westferry DLR station. You can use a lift or escalator to get to the roof garden and I would definitely recommend a visit. After a busy time in the city this is the perfect place to come and sit and relax surrounded by plants from around the world. The garden has two sections, East and West and there are plants from the relevant parts of the world in each area. When I visited there were a few people in the garden showing it is a very popular location.

Loved this whole area. Pop up and see it if passing
Popped in on my way to the O2 and so glad I did, what an amazing place right in the middle of the city. You would never know it was there. It’s built on the GMT line so the plants are separated into north and west hemispheres with lovely walkways to view them and chill

It sounded like a tropical paradise on the website but to be fair was pretty unimpressive, but I guess it’s a nice idea in a built up area for people to see greenery

Having previously read a number of positive reviews i was looking forward to visiting this attraction, unfortunately the reality didn’t live up to the hype.
Firstly if you arrive on the Elizabeth line at the new Canary Wharf station the signage for the garden is non existent, i eventually found it via 2 different lifts.
The garden itself is underwhelming, a distinct lack of colour, little in the way of information on the plants/trees that are there, some of the lighting and bins have been knocked and not vertical, I formed the impression that little by the way of upkeep had been done since the opening.
The 2 ends of the available roof space are taken up by eateries which severely limits the footage for the garden and bizarrely, in the 20 minutes i was there, i experienced the noise of a low flying plane preparing to land at Heathrow courtesy of a partially open and exposed to the elements roof.
Whilst i can understand how it would be seen as somewhere to sit for a short break if you were a local office worker i was left with an overriding impression of a massive missed opportunity.

a nice place to go for 30 mins to escape the concrete jungle that is Canary Wharf. I was worried that it was getting dark when we arrived but you just appreciate it in a different way...the lighting is minimal and creates a chill mood but still enough for you to see!

Good concept with pretty plants arrangement and nice view of the clouds, but you get bored pretty quickly unfortunately.
